I was just browsing my instagram feed when I received a message from Greyson. After dinner, pumasok muna ako sa kwarto namin nina Kleyah because I haven't seen him. I assumed na busy siya. Maaga kasi siyang natapos and he said na may kakausapin lang daw siya. Si ate Freya kasi ay kasama ng friends niya and tita Klarabel and tito Arthur are so tired so they went to their room early.
When I received the message of Grey, I didn't expect he'll prepare something for me. A something that made me astonished and overwhelmed. Hindi ko naisip na isang Greyson Peter Gallegos ang magsusurprise sa akin ng isang late candlelight dinner sa tabi ng dagat. The place is so magical. The place is so beautiful and peaceful. Kami lang na dalawa ang naroroon at tanging ang ilaw mula sa mumunting lights at candila ang nagsilbing liwanag namin sa gabing iyon kasama ang buwan na siyang naging saksi ng rason ng kasiyahan na nararamadaman ko ngayon. He was wearing a white polo and a short yet he's so beautiful. I was so overwhelmed that I nearly cried. The ambiance and the song playing silently makes the scene lovely.
"Ano 'to, Grey?" I asked him amidst my overflowing emotions. He smiled at me as he guide me to sit on the pillows intended for us.
"Nothing. I just want to surprise you. I thought it's better to do it today since tomorrow is New Year's eve" he chuckled when he saw my tears. Hindi sinasadya tuloy na umikot ang mata ko na kinatawa na niya.
"Bwiset. Ang pa-fall naman" natatawa ko ring sabi.
"Fall ka na?" balik-banat nito.
"Wushu. Baka ikaw" sabi ko naman habang pinupunasan ko ang luha ko gamit ang tissue na bigay niya.
"Let's see but first, let's eat first. I know you're full already but kung ano lang kaya mo. I am sorry, this was supposed to be dinner for us pero nagkaproblem kasi 'yong sa materials. This wasn't supposed to be the set up..." He sighed. " Anyway,.tapos naman na. Let's eat?" paaya niya.
"Ano ka ba. Okay lang eh. Ang ganda nga eh" I looked at him—directly his eyes. " Thank you. I appreciate it" I smiled at him and I saw how his smile appeared on his lips.
Kumain muna kami habang nagkukwentuhan. We talked about ourselves, our plans, our dreams and our future. We were just laughing and all while talking with each other. Sobrang wholesome ng usapan namin. I got to know him more and it's so peaceful. Sumaglit sa isip ko ang mga sinabi sa akin nina Lovelle. Take risk. Do what your heart says but always take your mind.
"Grey"
"Kaiah"
Nagkasabay kaming nagsalita matapos ang maikling katahimikan.
"Yes. You can go first" bawi agad ni Grey.
"Ah. No. Ikaw na muna. T-This can wait"
"You sure?"
"Yes"
Grey nodded and he looked behind me. Sinundan ko 'yon ng tingin and I saw a crew holding a bouquet of roses. It is so big that it almost hid the face of the crew. Binigay niya iyon kay Grey. Grey thanked him and he easily went out.
"For you" he handed it to me which I gladly received. I am still in awe with the flowers. Red roses.
"Happy New Year, Kaiah"
"G-Grey.."
"Happy New Year, Kaiah. I am so much happy that I met you again before the end of this year. You were the plot twist that I didn't know I'll have in this year and I don't have any regrets and complain about it. I am happy that I met you" he sincerely told me that.
Gusto ko magsalita pero nabubulol ang utak ko at hindi ako makapagproseso ng sasabihin. Greyson...
"Ana Marie Kaiah Alvarez..." i shred tears again when I looked directly at his eyes. His eyes... it shows adoration and it happily twinkles right at me.
"I like you, Kaiah and I think it's becoming more than that"
Grey looked at me endearingly and there, hindi ko na napigilan. I cried. I cried not because I am sad or what but I cried because I feel the relief. I feel the love. I feel him. The sincerity, the way his eyes speaks and above all, him.
"W-Why are you crying?" hindi ko mapigilang mapatawa nang lumapit siya sa akin at pinunasan ang mga luha ko.
"Ngayon ay tumatawa ka. Seriously, Kaiah?" mas lalong lumakas tawa ko nang makitang nahihirapan siya intindihin ako.
"I like you too" biglang sabi ko na ikinatigil niya.
" I know it's too early to conclude but I guess, once maramdaman mo na sincere at totoo ang kasama mo, the efforts and the vibes, wala na sa oras eh. Higit one month palang kita kilala pero the way you made me think of you all the time, the way you make my heart flutters everytime we're together and the way you make time for me and appreciate me, you made me like you" mahabang paliwanag ko. " I am happy and at peace when I am with you, Greyson Gallegos"
Natawa ako nang makitang nakabuka ng konti ang bibig ni Greyson.
"Leche. Nagkatotoo pa nga 'yong sabi mo na crush kita pero hoy, hindi lang sa akin. Sa'yo din. Yiee. Ikaw ah, crush mo rin pala ako" tukso ko sa kaniya. Doon ko na nakita ang pagsilay ng ngiti niya kasabay nang pagkagat niya sa baba niyang labi. Tangina. Ang guwapo.
"Tangina" nagtaka ako nang tumayo ito at bigla nalang huminga ng malalim sabay tawa.
"I was so nervous with your reaction. I thought magagalit ka sa akin kasi I'm so fast. Potangina. Ang saya! Ang saya sa pakiramdam!" Umupo ulit ito at kinabig ang ulo ko. He kissed my forehead na hindi ko inexpect. Pota. I guess, with him, I need to expect the unexpected. Hindi niya pinakawalan ang mukha ko. Pinagdikit niya ang noo namin. Sa espasyong iyon ay naramdaman ko ang tibok ng puso naming nag uumapaw sa gabing iyon.
"I like you. Please give me chance to let this feelings we have on each other grows. Allow me to court you, Kaiah"
"I am allowing you to court me, Greyson. Please don't hurt me"
"I will try to stop myself from making you cry. I will try, Kaiah"
" Thank you"
"Thank you, Kaiah. I like you so much"
He kissed my forehead again before he released me. Akala ko ay babalik na siya sa upuan niya pero yinakap niya ako. Oh kay sarap. Kay sarap sa pakiramdam sa ilalim ng mga yakap niya. Greyson, please. Don't hurt me.
