Goodbye Mike ♡ Miles Fairchild x reader

Chapter 1

Hi! I'm Y/n Harrington, I'm 9 years old, I have an older brother and his name is Steve. My parents...well they're not abusive or anything, they just act like I don't exist.

I have a best friend, his name is Miles! We've been friends since we were 5, we would see each other everyday outside of our houses. We're super close, practically inseparable. That is, until I had to move to Hawkins Indiana. Once me and Miles heard the news we would never leave each other, we wouldn't let a second to waste. When the day came Miles came over for the last time, when we had everything in the moving van we said bye to everyone, till I had to say goodbye to Miles. We hugged each other and didn't want to let go. My dad even had to pull me in the car so we can leave. I couldn't stop crying.

Once we arrived at the house I saw that it was bigger than our old house, we went inside and looked at all of the rooms. I went inside my room and it had y/f/c walls, a pretty big bed, a bathroom attached to my room luckily me and Steve didn't have to fight over who goes in the bathroom first in the morning anymore I thought to myself. I got my bags and started to unpack.

~a few years later~

I became friends with Mike, Dustin, Lucas and Will. We would play D&D a lot, we were all super close. Especially me and Mike, but that all changed when we met El.

One day we were playing D&D in Mike's basement, till Mike's mom said we all had to go home since it was getting late. And that was when Will went missing.

We wanted to help find him but the Chief said we all had to go home after school and we couldn't hang out or help. Did we listen? Of course not.

When we were looking for Will we heard something or someone behind us, we all turned around and saw a girl with a shaved head.

We brought her to Mike's house because she was soaked from the rain and was only wearing and oversized shirt.

Eventually we figured out the she had superpowers, but whenever she would use them her nose would bleed. She got the powers from the Hawkins Lab. And they were using El to open a gate that leads to the Upside Down, a different dimension. It was like a mirror world from our place, but everything was dark and filled with monsters.

But when we were trying to kill one of the Demogorgan's El used her powers to fully kill it but then disappears into the Upside Down.

We also found Will but he was kinda different now, when I mean by 'different' I mean he would be kinda quite and zones out a lot.

~a year later~

Mike still isn't over El's disappearance, he would try to call her on his Supercom but never gets an answer.

Me and Mike became close again but not as close as before.

There was a new student at our school, the boys were kinda suspicious of her because there is someone who beat Dustin's score on DigDug and there name was 'MadMax', they were suspicious of the new student because her name was Max. I didn't really care about that, the boys would watch her like a creep especially Dustin and Lucas. I thought it was stupid so I went up to her and eventually we became friends.

Dustin and Lucas were trying their hardest to be friends with her but they just looked like idiots. Will just followed along, but Mike hated her for some reason.

It was getting close to Halloween aka the best holiday ever, the boys decided to dress up as Ghostbusters and I dressed up as (wear whatever you wanna be) to go trick or treating. Dustin and Lucas wanted me to ask Max if she wants to go with us, they practically begged me. When I finally said yes they looked like little kids when it's Christmas morning.

I went up to Max and asked her, she said yes but asked me if the creeps would come too, I nodded I she did a loud sigh and asked if she could give them a scare when we meet up. I agreed because I just wanted to see their faces.

When it was Halloween we dressed up and went to school. We were excited until we realized no one else dressed up at school, luckily I brought extra clothes and changed before anyone would see me. The boys didn't tho and they stared at me.

After school we went trick or treating, I remembered that Max said she would give them a scare so I kept and eye out for her, after a few houses I saw her hiding behind a bush and she saw me too, she put her finger on her lips telling me to be quiet and not say anything, I nodded and when we were passing by the bush she jumped out making everyone scream especially Lucas. I tried to hide my laugh but couldn't, they boys asked "YOU WERE IN ON THIS?!" I just ignored them and went up to Max, we were still laughing at how they reacted, I could hear Dustin and Lucas coming up to us. They were talking to Max when I stayed a little behind them wanting to hear their conversation, they sounded like absolute idiots.

After a few more houses we saw Will running away and behind a wall. We ran up to him because he looked scared and lost, we found him curled up into a ball shaking. Mike brought him to his house saying we should keep trick or treating because he was bored.

After trick or treating we went home. Steve was at a party while my parents were out, again. So I was home alone, but I didn't mind. Until I heard Steve's car at the garage. He stormed in the house not saying anything and just went in his room. I was confused but just ignored him.
