Lisa's POV

As Lisa sat in her car at the restaurant's parking lot waiting for the minutes to get closer to 12:15, she knew that she is going to lose the battle she was so adamant to win before seeing Jisoo and Jennie's family.

She sat there thinking about how she cannot make Jennie love her the way she wanted her to. She cannot make Jennie feel something for her because Jennie can't.

Did I misinterpret everything?

Were her sweet gestures just a product of me being her friend?

Was it always Jisoo from the beginning?

Did I really have a shot?

Or was I just too disillusioned? Too deep and caught up in my own fantasy to notice that Jennie was never really in love with me?

Am I making the right choice?

Will I make the right choice?

These are the questions that have been haunting her since last night. She barely had any sleep because her thoughts won't let her rest.

But Lisa knew better. Chittip Manoban will never allow her to set foot on Thailand if she knew that her daughter ruined a happy family.

Much more so if that family are her closest friends.

Lisa let out a heavy sigh and looked at the restaurant. She then checked her appearance using her compact mirror and decided to head inside and just wait for Jennie at their table.

'Reservation for two under Manoban, please.' Lisa said as soon as a server opened the door.

'This way, Ma'am. Your table is ready.'

As the server walked Lisa towards their table, she remembered how Jisoo confidently let Jennie dine with her alone. She shook her head at the thought and sat down as the server pulled out a chair for her.

'They really do trust each other, huh. I guess I cannot keep throwing punches because it's clear that I won't win this fight.' Lisa thought to herself.

'Ahh, to be Kim Jisoo. How fortunate that would be.'

'Hey, Lis. Have you been waiting for long?' Jennie suddenly appeared in front of her, putting her purse on the table and gradually sitting in front of her.

'I actually just sat down a minute ago, unnie.' Lisa gave her an easy smile.

God, how can someone be so beautiful?

Lisa knows that right now, she's giving Jennie her heart eyes, because how could she not?

'Should we order? What do you want to eat, unnie?'

'Let's. I guess I'll just have aglio olio and a glass of Zifandel.' Jennie said without looking at the menu.

'Do you always eat here, unnie? You already know what you want.' Lisa chuckled a bit while her eyes are still scanning the menu.

'Jisoo and I have been here a couple of times. Their pasta is good.'

'Hmmm. I guess I'll have the arrabiata and a glass of Pinot Grigio. What about dessert unnie?'

'I'll have a slice of Red Velvet.'

Lisa raised her hand to call the attention of their server.

'Are you ready to order?'

'Yes. We'll have one aglio olio with a glass of Zifandel, and one arrabiata with a glass of Pinot Grigio.'

'And for dessert?'

'One tiramisu and a slice of Red Velvet, please.'

'Would that be all, Ma'am?'

'Yes, thank you.'

After the server left, Lisa looked at Jennie who was looking at her with sadness in her eyes. For a second, Lisa frowned.

'Unnie? Is something wrong? You look sad.'

'I'm good, Lis. Thank you for asking.' Jennie gave her a soft smile.

'That's good to hear, unnie. Where's Ella, by the way? Since you said yesterday that Jisoo unnie have a meeting to attend today.'

'She's with my mom. You know how much she loves children. She spoils Ella too much already. Like who gives a three-year old Chanel purses?' Jennie rolled her eyes at the memory of her mom setting up a Chanel collection for Ella.

Lisa laughed at the image of Jennie's mom spoiling a three-year old.

'Ella probably doesn't even understand how expensive those are.' she chuckled.

'I know, right? She just get baby food all over it. But my wife said it's okay because we can sell those purses because Ella wouldn't be able to remember them anyway.' Jennie rolled her eyes again and Lisa continued laughing.

'As expected. Jisoo unnie is still funny. As if she needs the money.' Lisa playfully rolled her eyes.

'She's a child, Lis. You must know that. Sometimes I think Ella is more mature than her mommy.' Jennie chuckled at the thought of how immature her wife could be sometimes.

'Enough about us, how have you been? You guys literally disappeared from Earth after we disbanded. Good thing we found you, you know.'

'I've been doing projects here and there, unnie. Sorry for not contacting any of you after we disband. I got too consumed with the thought that I have to make it on my own, without the rest of BLACKPINK.'

'I understand. I'm worried about Rosie, though. We know that you'll be doing good things when we saw the article you were featured in four years ago. But Rosie has been silent since we went our separate ways.'

Their conversation was interrupted as the server placed their orders on the table.

'Enjoy your meal, ladies.'

'Thank you.' Jennie and Lisa addressed him at the same time.

'Unnie, you said you wanted to talk you me about something.'

'Yes, actually.' Jennie said as she twirled her fork around the pasta. 'I've been meaning to talk to you but we never have the time because of the company and Ella. It's a good thing that we meet here for the photoshoot.'

Lisa nodded in understanding, but she knows that she needs to get this feeling off her chest first.

'Before you say anything about it, can I tell you something first, Unnie? I think this is my only and last chance to say it.'

Jennie looked at her as if she already know what Lisa wanted to say, and she wonders if Jennie knew all along.

'Sure, Lis. What is it about?'

Lisa took a deep breath and gently took a sip of her wine to help her have some moisture in her mouth as she feels it suddenly go dry because of nervousness. She took another sip for what she call liquid courage.

I guess this is it.

She thought to herself.

She swallowed the lump forming in her throat and looked straight into Jennie's eyes.

Now or never, Lis.

She told herself and opened her mouth to speak.
