Stacey's POV(Stacey has switched places with Stephie)

'Seriously Two days ride!!  I totally had a road trip to New Jersey. Now I know that Stephie has totally lost her brain to drive this whole way.  If there is a next time, I'm gonna use a flight' I sighed.

Maple Wood High is another level. It was something beyond my experience. It smelled like something new; but just for me. Nobody seemed bothered but cheerful. They were busy hanging out with their own groups of friends. For a moment I felt nervous and anxious and that was strange. It felt like I was alone.

It was like one of the ideal schools in movies where they are strict about the traditions and everything. The school premises and the buildings conveyed that it holds hundreds of years of a graceful history. But it didn't please me at all because my sixth sense was assuring me that this school might posses unique set of strict rules. And Stephie's uniform was the best example.

This morning I had a huge trouble in fitting into her dark blue pleated skirt. Maple Wood High girls have to wear a white button down shirt, dark blue neck tie and an off white V neck  sweatshirt over them and a dark blue pleated skirt with heeled shoes. It feels like I have time travelled. Why on the earth do we have to wear uniforms? Isn't this the twenty first century?

It took few minutes to examine the school map which she had sent me last night and I started my little journey of finding my homeroom. Almost all the seats were occupied and nobody seemed to notice me and I spotted Stephie's spot with the help of her directions and settled down. And it really felt like I was lost in another world and prayed that the lessons would start sooner to save me.

While I was searching for a reason to distract me, another girl entered. For some reason, my face was lightened up like I had met an old friend and I tried to bring back my memories. And it rang my bells. "Higher Green Middle School" I gasped. And I racked back my memories to find her name.

"Did she recognise me?" I asked myself.

If we put the height aside, nothing seemed to be changed. Still she was recognisable. And I don't think I had changed that much either. Suddenly my hopes hit the roof. It felt like I was on cloud nine and all of my worries got washed away. And I shot another glance at her. But my hopes didn't  last long. They got crushed in front of my eyes by her glare. She looked pretty annoyed and it felt like I was the root cause.

"Wendy!" I heard a red haired girl from the back and she ceased the glare and moved on waving back to the other girl.

By the time, lunch period rolled around and I didn't wanted to sit in the cafeteria by myself so, I stepped outside and seeked for an empty spot in the lawn. I found a place under a red oak tree far from the girls and boys who were busy speaking and giggling loudly and sat under it and put my headphone on.

After few minutes, my phone rang and I picked up it from my lap to check the caller ID.

"Is everything good there?" Stephie asked probably knowing that I am being alone in the lunch.

"Um. It's awkward to sit alone except that, everything is okay. No.. wait. Everything but this stupid uniform" I complained  and I heard her giggling from the other end.

"Hey, can you recommend me anyone to hangout with? It's killing me to sit alone and all. By the way what happened with Wendy she glared at me this morning and as I remember she was a cool kid back then."

"Well, you know I'm not an extrovert like you right... I think my lab partner might be a nice one but I haven't talk much with her either"

"For all these weeks!!" I wanted to scream but I concealed it inside and said "okay"

"By the way, why are you hanging out with this Emma girl. She's obviously trying to hit on Stefan and that's gross."

"Is she? I never noticed"

"Oh oh.. I think I made a mistake" she gasped.

"What's wrong" I asked wrinkling my forehead.

" I think I met the girl you mentioned and I said I didn't knew her. Plus in a rude way" she finally uttered.

"Stephie! You can't " I screamed. "Where is your brain? How could you forget the identical version of you!!" I exclaimed. You should have guessed it was me whom she was was talking about.

"Hey, you are being so loud " I heard a musculine voice saying behind me and annoyance was prominent in that voice. For a moment my heart stopped. Damn! I was screaming a name which supposed to be my name.

I turned my head to discover the owner of that voice and I couldn't notice anyone. Am I hallucinating things now and I asked my self. I plucked up my back pack and my literature book and stood up holding my phone by the other hand to leave that deserted place but I took my step back.

It seemed to be that there was a bench behind the oak tree which I had failed to notice. For the truth the massive trunk of the oak tree was hiding it. And a there was a brown haired guy stretching his long limbs on the bench. His eyes were hidden behind his eyelids and his silky light brown hair was resting on his forehead almost touching them.

"Is he sleeping? Did he hear everything? Why is he lying down here? Thousands of questions came to my mind like a hurricane and I felt relieved after hearing his loud breathing.

"That was close"
