"No!" Camilla and I scream at the same time when we see her body fall to the ground. We run over to her and kneel on the ground to see how bad it is.
The bullet went into her lower abdomen. After only a few seconds, there's already a pool of blood around her.
I rip the jacked off my body to wrap it around her abdomen and try to stop or at least slow down the bleeding.
"Where did the bullet come from?" Camilla yells while the tears still run down her face, now even more than before.
"Look," Lorenzo points his finger to the sky. Everyone turns their head in the direction of Lorenzo's finger while I can't turn my gaze away from the woman bleeding in front of me.
"Someone, tell me what's going on," I demand while tying the knot firmly on her abdomen. Neither of them says anything for a second, and then I hear a familiar voice.
"What? You're not even going to look at me? Oh, don't be mad, sweetie, she's not dead... Yet."
My head snaps back and my eyes go up, following where Camilla and Lorenzo are looking.
There she is. Satan is standing on the roof with a gun in her hand. She's dressed in black leather from head to toe. Black leather high heel boots, black leather bodysuit, and black leather gloves. Also, a black hairband that keeps her long black hair off her face.
Is she wearing a cape? Unbelievable.
"Nice outfit, Zoro," Lorenzo says, trying to make a joke while I couldn't understand how anything could be even remotely funny at the moment.
"Amore, keep your eyes open for me, okay? You are going to be fine. I promise. Just... hold on."
I turn to Camilla, whose tears stopped falling the moment she saw Isabella, and now she's back in her rage again. Good, that's the better option. I need her enraged.
"Camilla, I need to take her home. Can you handle this?" I ask as I pick up the bleeding woman in my arms, ready to rush back to the car.
"Of course, go. We got this." Camilla puts her hand on my shoulder comfortingly to convince me it is okay for me to leave her.
I know it's not okay. I'm leaving her in danger, but if I don't go right now, she is going to die. I hesitate for a moment longer before Lorenzo says quietly, "Go, I'll keep her safe."
"Whatever you do, don't let her get killed, and don't let Isabella run. I'm trusting you." Lorenzo nods, and with that, I start walking.
On our way to the car, she manages to keep her eyes open, although she doesn't have enough strength to hold her weak arms around my neck for support. She tried, her arms going limp instantly.
"It's okay, I got you. I won't let you go," I whisper as we get closer to the car. She doesn't answer me, and I don't expect her to. She needs to save her strength.
I place her gently in the backseat and she mutters something I don't quite understand.
"What did you say?"
"I said...she looks ridiculous with that cape."
I can't help but snort at her words. "I agree. Now shut up and save the little strength you have left, this is not the time to make jokes."
She murmurs the word bossy as I close the door before rushing over to the driver's seat and starting the car. The vehicle makes squealing noises as I floor the gas pedal, leaving a cloud of dust and dirt behind the car.
