Chapter 23

Ross POV

I pull in the driveway of the house and walk in.

I hate when Ryland calls me in the middle of the night for nothing.

I head upstairs to go back in bed but May and Gabby aren't in there.

"May!" I call out.

I go downstairs.

Nothing.

I yell out side.

Nothing.

I'm pretty sure I checked every square-inch of the house and I couldn't find them.

I can't find her phone either so I call it.

Voicemail.

So I call it again.

Voicemail.

I call my parents and their Moms.

God, I don't know what to do.

What if they are not okay?

Suddenly, I hear my phone ring.

Its May.

"Hello?" I answered, very worried.

"Ross come quick." She whispers.

"Where? Are you hurt? May are you okay!" I say, almost crying.

"Calum's basement. Just hurry." She says.

"Hey! What are you doing? GET OFF THE PHONE!" I hear a voice say.

Beeeeeep.

The line goes dead.

I run out the door, the fastest I've ever ran before.

I ran in the car and drove to Calum's house.

I can't believe he took them. What did we ever do?

I try to go in the doors, but all of them are locked.

So I kick my foot in the window and climb in.

I hear yelling in the basement.

And screaming.

I slowly open the basement door, trying not to make any noise.

I go downstairs and Calum is sitting next to May and Gabby, who are tied up to a chair.

I find a long metal stick in the corner.

None of them know I'm in here because their backs are facing me.

I take the metal stick and slowly walk up behind Calum.

Then I smash it into the side of his head as he yells in agony.

I grab a knife from upstairs and start cutting Gabby and May free.
