Mysterious Love

Chapter 1 New boy

"Lily over here!" Called Katie as I walked into my home room.

I quickly walked over to my best friend and took the seat next to her. I watched quietly as everyone talked about their summer and sharing plans for the school year.

Then in walked Mrs.Mulberry with a boy.

All eyes were on the boy. He had to be a student. The bell rang and the morning announcements were made, and then Mrs. Mulberry announced that we had a new student.

The whole class was in a shocked silence. You see we live in a fairly small town and so we hardly ever have new kids. Except for today.

"Why don't we get to know our new student?Ash would you like to come to the front of the class and talk a bit about yourself?"

As he stood up in front of the class I looked him over. I must admit he was much better looking than any of the other boys in my class. He had brown hair that was swept to one side of his forehead, yet it wasn't too long just right. And he had really pretty hazel eyes...

"Ouch!" I yelped as Katie pinched my thigh. Mrs Mulberry, Ash and the rest of the class all turned towards me.

Mrs.Mulberry shot me a death glare. "You may continue Ash." She said with a look towards me.

"What was that for?" I whispered to Katie. "Shhhh! I'll explain later daydreamer." She whispered back quickly. I blushed profoundly,she had caught me starring at Ash.

Ash cleared his throat. "Hi I'm Ash and I live on the other side of the Forrest and I've been homeschooled before this..."

I was kind of surprised that he lived on the other side of the forest,as I didn't know anyone else that did.

I kept sneaking glances of him during class but he kept to himself for the rest of the class.

After that we had English. As soon as I walked into English I tried looking for Ash but he wasn't in that class. A little disappointed I worked unenthusiastically.

Finally after a long and boring English class,it was finally lunch. I entered the cafeteria and scoped out the cafeteria for Katie and our small group of friends. I found Katie,Melissa and Tiffany and went to sit with them.

Katie has pin straight dark brown hair that is a bit longer than shoulder length. On her face was a splash of freckles and she had very pretty green eyes. She's my best friend and I've known her ever since I can remember. Sometimes she's stubborn but she always can make me laugh.

Melissa has wavy brown hair and brown doe eyes. She's kind of the fashionista of the group and she's always experimenting with new hairstyles and fashion styles.

Tiffany was the more practical one. She had thick wavy hair that was usually tied into a side ponytail. She's super good at school and is one of the star students. She's a reliable friend and is great with advice.

Jazzy was by far the most fun out of all my friends. She was African-American and so she had really thick,super curly black hair. She was crazy and would literally try anything.

And as for me, I had straight black hair that went just below my shoulders. I had green eyes. I loved to read and much prefer books to real life. I also love music. When I listen to music all my troubles float away...

I glanced around the cafeteria looking for Ash. He was sitting alone at a table picking at his pasta.

"Hey guys!" Said Jazzy setting down her books and joining us. As we talked about the year to come,my mind kept on thinking about the mysterious Ash...
