I crossed the sea, Just for you

Part 17

You don't even know why your cheeks were turning crimson red and your stomach was making flips. You both have already made out but this is something more than that. Soon both of you gave in.

The ornaments were removed, the hair was untied, the veil was unveiled. The things which were sinful just a day ago became a must to do on the wedding night. His lips devoured your body that night. His fingers trailed along your curves.

The jasmines from your windows forgot to give the fragrance and the moon was shy and placed a cloud as it's blanket. The bodies collided with each other and the soul became one.

The puffing and panting came to an end. He ended the night with a forehead kiss. The next day, there was a visible glow in your face. Everyone knew what or why it was like that but still they didn't talk about it.

"Y/n, we will be moving in a week", he said. "Mmm, okay", you replied with a smile. The time for departure made you a little bit sad. You were already bidding your goodbyes to your royal officials.

The ministers, scholars and the priests from the temples blessed you for a happy life. Your father wanted power but that doesn't mean he didn't love you at all. Your uncle and your father decided to send you off in a grand way.

"Y/n, we decided to send at least 100 people with you. We can't send you empty handed. It's our pride and also those people would help you to live a life like you had here", they said.

Taehyung agreed to it. The day of departure came sooner than you expected. The ships were ready. Madhi was with you all these times. "Don't worry about anything here. Just live your life", she said.

"I will make sure to write letters and pass them through travellers and traders. You all should write as well", you said, giving her a hug. You tried not to break down. The things were getting boarded on the ships.

The families who were willing to start a new life in a new place accompanied you. You bid farewell. Your mother was already on the verge of tears. "I will make sure to look at the portrait whenever I miss you", your brother stated.

You nodded while a tear slipped away from your eyes. You got blessings from your father. You looked at everyone one last time. You were not sure if you will ever come back once again here.

Taehyung helped you to get onto the ship. You stared at your country and your beautiful land till it disappeared as a dot in your eyes. You were already crying.

Taehyung hugged you. He understood your emotions. "I am here for you. Why are you crying?" he patted your shoulder. You hummed and nodded. The sea travel was not easy. You were seasick.

"You better rest", he would always make you lie down on the small room in the ship. You both were residing there. "Just don't leave me", pouted. "Fine", he would cuddle you. You learned Korean in the meantime.

One day, you were looking at the calm sea. The maids came with some drinks for you. Taehyung also joined you. "Y/n ah, what are you thinking?" he asked you.

"Nothing. Just looking forward to this journey ending soon", you said. "Are you bored already?" he asked you. You laughed a little. "To be very honest, the sea makes me sick", you said.

"Don't worry, we will reach it in a few months' ', he said. "Months?!" you widen your eyes. "Just kidding, a few weeks to go", he said. "By the way, may I know about your family members.

It will be easy for me to greet everyone", you said. "Are you asking about them? After all these days'', he chuckled. "I didn't have the need to. Besides, I had a lot on my mind", you said.

"Which family are you asking about? My family or my parents?" he asked you. "Your family? Were you married already?" you asked him. "How did I miss that? I mean I should have asked you already but still", you were shocked.

He burst out in laughter. "You dumb woman. You are asking in the mid sea", he chuckled. "Fine, fine. I was not married. You are my first and you will be the only one", he said.

You clicked your tongue. "I was kind of scared you know", you glared at him. "Why?" he asked you. "What do you mean by why? Well if my husband tells me that he is going for a trade and comes back with a woman, I wouldn't be a human after all.

I was worried about your non-existent first wife" you glared at him. "Admit that you were jealous that you had to share with me", he said. "Whatever, I am going to sleep.

I don't care if you join me or sleep here in the cold", you went inside. You were used to the movement of ships by now. He adored your cuteness. He immediately joined you in bed. You were back facing him.

He hugged you closer. You didn't react much. "Y/n, when I met you and fell for you I decided that you would be the only woman in my life no matter what happens. I can promise that", he said.

"Don't promise something that you can't control", you said. "I am not the crown prince, so there wouldn't be any political marriages. Even if they ask me I won't '', he said, nuzzling into your neck.

You turned around to face him. He bopped your nose and kissed your forehead. The time flew really fast. You landed in Korea. The arrival of the Prince delighted the country.

His father and mother were prepared to welcome him. Everything turned into a confusion when they spotted you. The commander in chief went first to deliver the news.

As expected, the King was kind of mad. You entered the royal court with him. "What do you think you are doing? How can you come back after getting married?" his father fumed.

"Father, you know that I had permission to do anything and everything on a condition that I must return. I kept the promise. Please keep your promise as well", he said.

He didn't even know what to say. "Who is she? How will she even survive here?" he asked. You introduced yourself in clean Korean. The court looked at you in disbelief.

Then Taehyung explained everything. "You are from the country where we get pearls' ', his father slightly awed at you. You proudly smiled.

"As a tradition, they have sent you some gifts your Highness", you bowed to him. Soon, the gifts were lined up. There were jars of gold, rubies and pearls. The court literally gasped.

That was not the end, they sent a lot of items from the west which might not reach to the end of the east. A lot of other valuable pots and gifts came in. "Did you take your whole treasury with you?" a court official asked you.

You shook your head politely. "Taehyung ah, there is no problem in accepting her but something else happened when you were away", his mother announced.

"Your brother gave up his position and now you should take the crown", she said. Both of you looked at each other.

"He threatened us that he would become a monk and leave the country. Now it's in your hands'', his father said. "You have the power to make your husband a King '', Madhi's words echoed in your ears.
