The Twelve Kizuki were all very powerful demons whose power was further from average and closer to Muzan himself.

**Or at least that's what I've been told.**

Y/N: I think so, yes. What about them?

Shinobu: I've been called into an emergency mission by the Master himself. Kanao, my Tsuguko, will of course be joining me, but I wanted to give you the opportunity to come too.

Y/N: Join you on a mission? Yes, I'd love to-

Shinobu: Wait. I asked you if you knew about the Twelve Kizuki for a reason. There have been dozens of Slayers killed during this mission. The rumored threat is a member of the Twelve Kizuki.

She turned around and bent over looking down at me.

Shinobu: Are you still willing to come while knowing the danger?

I looked up at her as she waited for my answer. She backed up and stood up straight.

Shinobu: You can think about it. Kanao and I leave tomorrow though so consider it quickly-

Y/N: With all due respect, Lady Shinobu, I don't care about the threat. If there are demons involved then I'm in.

Her eyes widened and she had a surprised look on her face for a second before she smiled again. My response is clearly not what she was expecting me to say.

Shinobu: Well okay then. Your rehabilitation training won't be necessary tomorrow. Do what you need to do before noon, because that's when we'll leave, okay?

Y/N: I'm in. I'll be ready!

Shinobu: Bye-bye then!

Shinobu left so quickly that it looked like she teleported. I was just barely able to make out her steps.

**All of this training and I still can hardly follow Shinobu's movements? At least I can follow her a little bit. I guess I have to train some more than!**

I stayed outside and focused for just a little bit longer before I went inside and headed to bed. I needed to be rested before my first mission in half a year. I woke up the next morning to a knock on the room's door. I assumed it was either Aoi or the Butterfly Trio. I was surprised to see Kanao come inside.

Y/N: Oh hey, Kanao-

Kanao: Shinobu said we'll be leaving in an hour.

This was the first time I'd ever heard Kanao speak in my entire 6 months being here. Her voice was very calm and soothing. Her words were structured almost as if she was reading a script. She spoke in a similar way to Shinobu.

Y/N: Kanao, you spoke!?

I hopped up out of bed.

Y/N: You don't speak often do you? You and Shinobu look alike. Are you related? What's your favorite color? I like pink and purple. Do you want to help me train some time?

I was picking up after Mitsuri's tendency to ramble as I questioned her. She smiled sweetly and seemed to ignore everything I was talking about.

Kanao: Goodbye.

She turned around and left the room.

**What the? What a strange way to end a conversation... if you could even call it that. Whatever she actually spoke!**

I grabbed my sword and left the room. If we were leaving in an hour, I wanted to say bye to everyone first. I headed through the Butterfly Mansion without any real destination in mind. I said my farewells to the Kakushi as I passed them.
