She surely did not imagine her day being this hard that morning when she got out of bed. Yet, with her legs hanging loosely from the expensive couch cushions Jiyong had chosen for their apartment, she had been proven just the right amount of wrong by the way she felt herself not caring wether that couch was obviously not intended to lay on. Jiyong had made it clear to her the three hundredth time he had said it.

But, he was luckily not there, yet. So, she threw the pair of glasses she usually wore on her head onto the coffee table, not caring how, by doing so, she destroyed the maniacally-organized pile of dumb art her "fiancè" was such an avid collector of.
There was one object in particular, a crystal elephant, that had always bothered her enormously. She had knocked that over, too, and the sound of it hitting the glass of the table felt like music to her ears.

She had never been one to go in despair. Even when everything had come crashing down on her, she was always thinking about her next move. Never had she felt this... blocked.

The grazing of Jiyong's finger on Lisa's hair was a sight she could not seem to wash away from her mind, even after a whole day. She had seen Jiyong flirt with dozens of girls for a whole year now and not once had it bothered her. If not for a tint of genuine disgust, she usually felt nothing. And that was how it should be, that was the price she had ironically chose to pay for love: apathy.

Suddenly, she heard the sound of keys turning into the doorknob and, without even thinking about it, she hurriedly closed her eyes and let her head slouch to the side a little.

"Jennie, I know you're not sleeping. You know, I usually pretend to fall for your poor acting skills but all this blatant ignoring me is starting to truly hurt my feelings"

Jiyong's nasal voice usually entered from one of her ear and exited the other. Tonight, though, she did not feel like letting his cheap arrogance and lousy grin make a fool of her. Imagining how he had brought one of his hand to his chest, she so slowly opened her eyes and stared at him with half-opened lids, disappointed but not surprised at how she was right.

"Which feelings?" She shot back, annoyed.

"Busted" he said, bringing his hands up in the hair in mock surrender, a half smirk on his face before he passed a hand through his gelled hair.

The heels of his shoes ticked against the wooden floor as he stepped away from Jennie to go to the kitchen. She didn't give him the satisfaction of following him with her eyes, but she could hear him fumbling with something on the kitchen's island.

He came back into her visual range after a couple of minutes, holding two drinks in his hands. One, she was safe to guess, was for her.

"An Americano" he said while handing the drink to Jennie and proceeding to take a seat on the glove-like chair in front of her. He crossed his legs before adding "thought it fit you".

Jennie looked at him up and down while she went back to a seating position. She brought the red-colored liquid to her lips while continuing to eye the man in front of her suspiciously. Then, as the liquor swirled freely into her mouth, she got Jiyong's inappropriate, yet never missing, remark.

"Cause I'm bitter just like it. How original, Jiyong."

"Oh, no need to credit me when you do all the work" he replied before bringing the drink in his hands up and forward towards Jennie, as to cheer her.

Jennie rolled her eyes, bringing her glare to the ceiling in an attempt to hold back any snarky remarks that was threatening to leave her mouth like kids on their last day of school. Obviously, she failed miserably.

"I can't believe I'm gonna be married to you"

"Mrs Kwon" Jiyoung said, emphasizing with his hands the title "don't you love how that sounds?"
