"Alright na don't go running too far off you hear me? Luce nodded at her Nana
She runs straight to the swings as fast as she could. Luce loves the park and Hale takes her as much as she can. Her mother however has been very busy working lately. Luce doesn't know much about what's going on since her mother keeps her hidden just in case anything pops off.
She specifically told Hale NOT to take her outside by herself and if she does to keep her head on a swivel. Raina would literally lose her mind if she lost Luce. Hale thought Raina was being a bit dramatic and just thought her daughter got pregnant by a dude who she doesn't even remember.
Hale was wrong though and should've listened to her daughter. Like Henning said she didn't tell them for their own safety because at this very moment Adrian is seeking for her even after all these years. He hasn't stopped and he told his men to never stop looking for his "Tesoro". Adrian knew he would find her eventually but he wasn't a very patient man with something so serious as this.
Hale stopped paying attention for a minute as Luce played on the swings. Luce ended up roaming off on her own not knowing what was in store for her. Her fat legs carried her pretty far but stopped when she approaches 'tall legs like her grandpa's' she thought.
"A pretty girl like you shouldn't be running off." Luce tilted her head to the side as he did the same thing. He was crouched down to her size.
Adrian stood there talking to the girl. He moved towards the small steps since he was doing something he had no business doing. He didn't want anyone interrupting his work or snitching for what they saw.
She took in his appearance as she thought he was beautiful like her mommy. He has dark curly hair and was wearing a trench coat with a nice pair of pants and a turtleneck. A nice gold necklace laying perfectly on his chest. His eyes were a beautiful hazel color. This caught Luce's attention.
"Eyes like mine." She said softly and he nodded at the small child.
"Yes they are. You look like someone I once knew." He started to think about Raina or as he knew her Riley.
He remembered everything about her because to him it wasn't just sex. To him she made his heart flutter in ways no woman could. It was a foreign feeling to him but he didn't mind it at all. He remembered how gorgeous she was that night. Her hair all nice and curly as if he was looking at a cloud close up. Her skin glowing in the moon light and her lips just right for him.
"Pretty." Luce said to him which caught him off guard. His raised his eyebrow at the little girl.
"Me?" Luce nodded and signals him to move closer. He hesitates before she huffs at him.
"Secret!" He nods before leaning in.
"Can you be my secret friend?" He laughs at her before picking her up.
