"I look okay?" I ask my daughter as she fixes my tie.

"Now you do." I sigh looking into the mirror.

"Daddy you'll be fine. She won't win." I nod.

I've worked so hard to get where I'm at today. I can't have her take anything of mine. I let her stay in the house because she'd have nowhere to go. Her parents wouldn't have taken her in. If I get the house I plan on selling it. I don't want anything to do with it the only good memories are the ones I made with Raina. The bad outweighs the good though and I don't want it in my name anymore.

"Let's go I'm ready." We head out driving to the courthouse.

Upon arrival we see Hale standing on the stairs waiting while she's on the phone. She looked irritated but tried to look unbothered. I was so blinded and wanted to see the good in her and couldn't. I brushed everything off so my child could have both parents and not grow up in a broken home but it was broken before she was even born.

We walk up the stairs and get ready to be seen by the judge. I could feel the glances she was giving me. It was irritating me to say the least but I kept my cool. I didn't need anyone to have anything on me. Our case number was called and we stood at our respective spots as Raina sat behind me.

"All rise for Judge Williams." We rise and wait til we were told to sit.

"Good morning everyone. Let's get this case over with I don't have all day." He says looking through the file nodding occasionally.

"So Mr and Mrs Dion why do you both want a divorce?" He looks up and zones in on Raina.

"Who are you?" I can hear her stand up.

"Raina Dion sir." He nods motioning for her to sit down.

"She looks a little too big for y'all to be fighting for custody." I could hear Raina giggle silently.

"No your honor. She's here for me as a witness." I say as Hale's head turns slightly to look at us.

"I don't see many kids on the fathers side. Alright let's begin starting with you Mr Dion." I nod.

"I was the one to initiate the divorce because I've had enough. Over twenty years of this your honor. She gets violent when she's angry it's like a switch every time."

"I don't get violent Henning-" The judge cuts her off.

"You better shut up before I start on you Mrs Dion seriously. I don't know if that's a wig, your hair or a rodent." Raina was trying hard not to laugh so she wouldn't get put out as I was doing the same.
