"No absolutely not." Nalani says glaring at Alejandro with her arms crossed.
"Yes." He says sternly as he fixes his chain in the mirror.
"No Alex!" He turns around looking around the room before looking back at her.
"Must be talking to your demons because I can't seem to find who you're talking to." He sat on the couch adjusting himself.
"You! I'm not telling them anything!" She huffs falling back into the couch.
Alejandro wanted to tell everyone that Nalani and him were taking their relationship to the next level. He was excited to have the woman of his dreams even though they got together under traumatic circumstances.
"Why not, amor?" He said in a low voice making Nalani shiver.
She shrugged not making eye contact with him. He chuckles getting up and walking to the love seat she was sitting on. He sat right in her line of sight. He stares at her with an unamused expression. His arm on the back of the love seat as he tilted his head.
"You're a terrible liar, bambina" She sighed making him raise his eyebrow.
"I'm scared. I act like I don't care what others think but I do." She groans putting her head on her hands.
It has been over a year since the incident and they've been together for almost a year. He didn't want to hide it anymore. He wanted to love her in public and out loud.
"Nalani who gives a fuck what other people think of us? You love me?" She nods not moving from her position.
Alejandro gently grabs her wrists removing them from her face. She looks up at him with a look of exhaustion.
"Do you love me?" He says staring into her eyes.
"Yes. Of course I do." She mumbles.
"And I love you more. That's all that matters. Us right here." He gestures between the both of them.
Nalani sighed understanding what he was saying to her. She was embarrassed she let her overthinking get the best of her. She wanted to be with Alejandro because he's been nothing but a gentleman.
Alejandro was patient with her. He talked her through every breakdown and walked her through solutions to every problem she had. He even let her complain to him. He'd often ask her:
"Do you want my ear or do you want my solutions?"
Nalani liked that. Sometimes she just wanted to complain instead of someone telling her what she should be doing to fix the issue. She already knew how to fix it she just wanted to vent.
"You're right it's only us in the relationship." He nods rubbing her back soothingly. He kisses her head gently making her lean into him.
"We can tell them whenever you're ready." Alejandro decides making her smile and kiss his lips.
