"Hey Ebony!" shouted a voice. I looked up.
"What's up John?" I yelled over the loud chatter of the people around us. I walked towards John taking in the scene around me. Caihi School was young me's dream and present me's world. I had tried in earnest to get into the school. Children of the night were generally unwanted at the prestigious school of magic, I didn't mind I was just grateful to be here. "Nothing," he said shyly. Since childhood, John has been my best friend despite all of the people desperately trying to separate us. We were attached at the hip. "John Draco Seqioun that is not your normal voice, you sound like a five-year-old girl." I teased. He rolled his eyes.
"Oh shut it Miss Darkness." He mocked. My name was stupid, I knew that but hey blame my parents. I heard the calls of my other friends. I sighed and pressed a kiss to John's cheek. "I will see you later," I promised.
