FLASHBACK

23rd December 1997.

It was a quiet sunny afternoon and the non-busy hours at the Franco's Amay was there itself, spending some time with Mira, and Naina came running,

"What happened Naina?" Rajat asked, "Why are you running like this?"

"Mira, come let's go, Sanju Tai called, there's something wrong with Asmita."

"What happened to Ashu?" She asked, "Is she fine? Or that Vatsal?"

"I don't know anything girl, come with me, we'll catch the bus at 4:30 PM," Naina said and dragged her away.

"Can I also come along?" Amay asked, "You won't have to wait for the bus, we'll go by my scooty," Amay said and Mira nodded in agreement.

"But, how will you guys go in one scooty?" Rajat asked, "I'll ask Bennet Uncle if he lends us his." He went to Joseph and asked him, Mr. Bennet agreed and asked Malini to take care of the café for the rest of the day. Mira sat with Amay and Naina sat behind Rajat.

They reached the orphanage in no time, Sanjana was standing at the doorway.

"What happened Tai? Where is Ashu?" Mira worried.

"She hasn't returned yet," Sanjana replied.

"What? It was the last day of the Vishakhapatnam trip," Mira said, "And they were going to reach by 2:30 PM at the Dadar Station."

"Yeah, that's why I'm worrying," Sanjana said, "and the worst thing is that Vatsal is also in the trip."

"Yeah, she told me," Mira said.

"I don't think he will cause some problem to her," Naina said.

"He can, Naina. Firstly, he broke up with her and hooked up with another girl, Jigyasa, then he broke up with Jigyasa, and forced Ashu to be in a relationship with him," Mira explained, "and our Ashu denied."

"Shall we go and see her at the station?" Amay asked.

"Yes, I think you, Rajat and Naina should go," Mira said.

"Of course, Mira we'll go." Rajat agreed.

"Yes, we'll go, Mira, don't worry everything will be fine," Amay said and confronted her.

"Please find my Ashu, Amay," Mira said and cried.

"Don't worry Mira." Amay said to her, "Naina come, let's go." He said to Naina, and both of them went to the Dadar railway station, they searched the waiting hall, the platforms, the trains and where not.

At platform number 3.

"Asmita..." A boy called her name from the gateway.

"Vasu," She said and got up, "Why did you ask me to come here?" Asmita asked.

"Come, let's elope," Vasu said her.

"Vatsal, what are you saying?" Asmita detached herself from Vatsal, "I didn't come here to elope with you."

"Then why did you come? You told me we'll marry." Vatsal said rudely.

"Oh, yes, I was the one who had a stability issue with you." She said sarcastically.

"I'm sorry for that Ashu Baby." He said and forced a hug on Asmita.

"I. Am. Not. Your. Baby. Don't call me that. We're not in a relationship anymore." Asmita declared and started to move with her bag and Vatsal grabbed her wrist, "What are you doing Vatsal, leave me, I've to go."

"Where you'll go, huh? To that cheap orphanage?" He said rudely.

"Vatsal, stop saying all that." Asmita said, "And leave me."

"Never, I won't leave you," He said tightening his grip, "Ashu Baby."

Asmita banged her bag on his head and started to run.

"Ahh," He cried, "You b***** b****," He said and followed her. Asmita went into the waiting hall, Naina was there itself and Amay was on the platform.

"Ashu?" Naina called out her name and was surprised to see her running like saving her life.

"Tai, save me please." She said and hugged Naina, "Save me from Vatsal."

"Ashu, what happened?" Naina asked and Asmita narrated the whole story. "Is he here?" She asked.

"I don't know tai." Asmita replied. "When I banged my bag on his head, he was lying there only, and after that, he came running behind me."

"Ayya, Deva Parmeshwara." Naina chanted. "Wait lemme see where is and Rajat." She said and peeped out of the waiting hall, and Vatsal grabbed Naina and put a knife on her neck.

"VATSAL" Asmita screamed, "Leave her Vatsal I'm telling you, it won't be good if you do something to her."

"What will you do?" Vatsal asked.

"Rajat Dada..." Asmita screamed as she saw Rajat searching for her meanwhile, another boy nearly of Vatsal's age came and grabbed Asmita from the back.

"Ashu..." Rajat screamed and came to her, "Hey you, leave Naina and Asmita or else it won't be good."

"Won't be good, won't be good, it's not only what you say," Vatsal mimicked Asmita, "touch me if you have that much guts."

Vatsal felt a light pat on his shoulder, "Who the hell is that?" He asked and turned.

"Your father." The guy replied, and punched him and freed Naina from him.

"Amay, thank you so much." Naina thanked him and Asmita kicked the boy who was holding her, he tried to catch her again but Rajat stopped her, Asmita ran towards Naina and hugged her.

"Thank you, Tai, for saving me from Vatsal." Asmita sobbed.

"Don't thank me, thank them." She said and pointed towards the boys.

"Thank you, Amay Sir, and Rajat Dada." She said and grinned.

"Hey you called him Dada, and me Sir, why so?" Amay asked, "Call me Dada."

"Okay, Dada." She said with a grin.

"Lemme call in the orphanage, Mira would be worried," Amay said and started going near the PCO.

"Sanju Tai too," Naina yelled from the back, Amay turned and Naina gave him a teasing look.

So, how was it? Too much action??

Btw do you guys like the touch of Marathi in the story?

Here is the meaning of some of the Marathi words which I've used till now,

1) Tai:- This is what we call our elder sisters.

2) Aai:- Mom, Mumma.

3) Pillu:- Informal word, it means something or someone who is small or younger.

4) Ayya:- It's used when we regret something, it's used with Deva Parmeshwara, which means Oh God, with the context of the chapter.
