AUTHOR'S MESSAGE

-this work takes place in a slightly altered universe where the events of Dead Poets Society happen in the mid-1990s as opposed to the late 1950s. the time jump allowed for some adjustments to the film to make more sense, including Welton becoming co-ed + some references to poets who'd written after the 1950s.

-some scenes and dialogue were taken directly from the 1989 film Dead Poets Society. i do not own these scenes, these excerpts, or the characters taken from the film. all copyright goes to the respective owners.

-all gifs used in this chapter and here out are not mine unless otherwise specified. all credit goes to their respective owners.

-warnings: a lot of swearing, mild sexual imagery (no actual porn, but a few heated scenes), racism, homophobia, and other general struggles.
