Ok so just to get it clear the events of this story take part in 2015 after Age of Ultron and Civil War never happens. Also this will be a shorter chapter.

Natasha: Do you seriously think I am that bad of a person?

Yelena: I do not think that you are, I know it.

Natasha: That kind of hurted.

Yelena: You'll get over it. Now why did you call?

Natasha went silent, she herself didn't know why she called.

Natasha: I just thought it be a good idea.

Yelena: Did you just make that up?

Natasha: No.

Yelena: You definitely did.

Natasha: No I did not!

Yelena: Mhm keep telling yourself that.

Natasha: I'm gonna hang up this phone.

Yelena: Ok, ok, ok. It's almost like we haven't had an argument in a long time.

Both women laughed but soon stopped.

Yelena: Now what is it?

The red head was hesitant before answering.

Natasha: Well... uhm... I found a letter, with my name written on it... in the base.

Yelena: Have you read yet?

Natasha: No. I-I have other problems besides it.

Yelena: You know I've been your therapist for years in the Red Room and after it, you can tell me.

Natasha: Don't you have other work besides my problems?

Yelena: Maybe I do.

Natasha: Then go.

Yelena: You're no fun, but okay.

Natasha: Bye then.

Yelena: Bye.

Natasha hung up the phone with a smile that would soon disappear from her face. She put the phone on the bedside table and took out the letter. The name 'Natalia' written on it with red, bold letters made her remember so many bad memories. The spy carefully opened the envelope and took out the note. The red head unfolded the note and started to read it.

Hello dear Natalia

We hope you liked our little surprise but incase you didn't, don't be sad there are more coming. Don't get too happy and attached to your little friends, everybody leaves sooner or later. Enjoy it while it lasts.

See you soon Наталия <Natalia>

Three sentences. All this for three sentences. Natasha wondered why. To tell her more is coming, she knew that already. She put down the letter and  thought what could it all mean. And then it hit her.

Meanwhile

Pepper: Dinner is ready. Where is Nat?

Tony: In her room. What's for dinner?

Pepper: Why is she not coming? Did something happen?

Wanda: We don't know exactly what happened, just that she talked to some people and came back crying. And she did not seemed fine.

Pepper: And you left her all alone in her room?!

Sam: Well you know what happened last time.

Pepper: Are you serious right now?

Steve: I tried to talk to her and really it's not a good idea.

Tony: What's for dinner?

Pepper took a deep breath and went to the elevator.

Tony: What's fo-

Wanda: Roasted chicken with vegetables.

Tony: Thank you!

Pepper and Natasha weren't exactly best friends but were still close. The moment Pepper got to the spy's floor she immediately went to her door and knocked. When no one answered she knocked again and quietly asked if Nat was okay. Again no one answered and Pepper got slightly worried but just as she was about to ask F.R.I.D.A.Y. about it the door opened and a paler looking Natasha was behind it.

Natasha: What?

Pepper: Nat are you alright?

Natasha: Uh yeah... yeah I am. Why?

Pepper: Just the others said that you didn't looked too fine after the mission. I just came to check up and tell you that dinner is ready. Want me to bring you some?

Natasha: No it's fine, I'm not hungry.

Pepper: Are you sure?

She sounded worried and Natasha tried to assure her that she was really fine, even though she wasn't even close to fine. Pepper nodded but did not looked too convinced and left. The moment she closed the door Natasha fell to the ground with her hands tangled in her red hair. She needed answers and one person could be her only chance at getting them at the moment. Realizing that she quickly got up from the floor and went to grab her keys and jacket.

Speeding through the streets she didn't care how many laws she would brake but would she be able to get what she need from him. Parking her car she basically flew out of it and into the elevator pressing the button rapidly. The few seconds long ride felt like eternity for the ex-assassin. She didn't even wait for the doors to fully open when she run out the elevator, past a few guards and to his cell.

Guard: You can't enter, agent.

Natasha: I just need 5 minutes with him.

Guard: I have orders to not let anyone in.

Natasha did not really care about the orders so she pushed him out of her way, opened the door and locked it after getting in. He turned around and his similar green eyes locked with hers from his position on the bed.

Natasha: We need to talk.
