The next morning at the crack of dawn, Matthew and Jay left the log cabin. They grabbed the supplies that Bleue had left them and walked to nearest town in search of food and a new shelter.
Bleue. She was gone. She just left and nobody knew why.
Matthew felt a slight sting in the corner of his eye, but he did not cry.
It was sundown. Matthew and Jay finally approached an old, rustic, rundown town. It was too late to travel any further so that decided to stay for the night. The first place that they stopped at was the general store. The store wasn't empty, but it wasn't filled with what they needed either...
The store was filled with Cannibals...
Matthew and Jay hastily turned around and ran to the nearest house, Cannibals behind them sprinting and grunting.
Matthew and Jay ran inside the house, slammed the shut, locked it, and then pushed a couch up against just to make sure that the door didn't get opened. Immediately after, they ran upstairs and were trying to find a somewhere safe to hide from the Cannibals, but there was nowhere.
Crash. It sounded like one of the windows downstairs broke.
A Cannibal crashed through the window and ran upstairs after Matthew and Jay.
Matthew thought it was all over, that they were gonna die, but then he saw Jay jump out the window and on the roof of the house next door. Matthew followed, but as he jumped, the walker grabbed his leg. Matthew barely reached the roof and was hanging on for his life. He kicked the Cannibal that was gripping his leg and it fell, he also noticed that where that underneath him, there was a whole crowd of Cannibals, reaching up, groaning because they were hungry and there was a fresh meal right above them. But they weren't gonna get Matthew today, Jay walked up to the edge of the roof and pulled Matthew up.
"Thank, you." Matthew said as he was gasping for air.
"No problem." Jay replied, sounding as if he had saved the world.
"Can't party just yet. Look down." Matthew replied.
Jay looked over the edge of the roof to see a whole horde of Cannibals.
Matthew and Jay were trapped on the roof.
