—— Reki Kyan could feel the world around him slowly starting to shift. It had felt so dull, like a black and white screen. Now, everything in his perspective felt more lively. Slowly and increasingly more colourful. Like the way televisions in the 1950s had technicolor introduced to Hollywood.

And it was all thanks to y/n, who helped him at his lowest point of his current lifetime.

From the moment he felt so bewildered at y/n's total concentration at the skate park, sketching away on their sketchbook, Reki felt a strong connection with them.

He was grateful for them, who helped him at one of the darkest points of his life. Reki was seriously considering on just ending everything.

The red head stared from a far admiring y/n at their desk in the classroom, just sketching away in her notebook. Even in class, they were still drawing.

"And there goes the bell. Have a great lunch, everyone!" The teacher exclaimed.

All the students began to get out of their seats, and they filed out of the classroom.

Reki approached y/n, who also just finished packing up as well.

"Let's go eat now!" Reki smiled.

Y/n gave him a brief nod, and the two went up to the rooftop, their usual spot for lunch.

"So what did you bring today?" He asked them.

"I just dropped by subway and got a sandwich. Nothing too crazy." Y/n shrugged, as they unraveled the packaging.

"That sounds pretty good, I'm just eating a bento again."

"Eh... I'm jealous your mom cooks for you. My parents are bad chefs." Y/n eyed Reki's lunch.

"Wanna share lunches then? You can have half of each slot of my bento, and I get half of your subway. That's fair right?"

"Yeah sure, it's definitely worth it, here ya go." Y/n instantly split their sandwich, and gave the untouched half to Reki.

"Thanks y/n! Here's another pair of chopsticks!" Reki beamed.

Y/n just couldn't help themselves but admire Reki for a bit when he was smiling.

"God he gives me an adrenaline rush every time he smiles and stares at me." They thought.

There was a brief silence. Y/n finally came back to their senses, only to find Reki staring out into the horizon. His expression was relaxed, but it looked like he was stressed for some unknown reason.

"Reki, you okay? You're zoning out." Y/n asked worriedly.

"I'm fine y/n! Something's been on my mind lately, that's all." Reki reassured them.
