Anti's P.O.V.
I watched Dark walk upstairs, completely flabbergasted at what he just said. He wanted to make a bet on whether or not I'd fuck him again? Really mature Dark... I refused to give in to his bullshit. I was going to make him eat his words and not give him the outcome that he expected.
I rubbed my face, carpet burn already apparent on my skin. I don't know what came over me and made me want to hurt him. I was surprised I was still breathing since what I did certainly would have ended in my death otherwise. He seemed genuinely surprised at my ability to shove him off me inside of the elevator, something I too didn't expect to be able to do considering his strength.
I watched him walk away upstairs, groaning in anger as I realized what the wager meant. I knew that he was going to make my life a living hell for the next two weeks. Even though I was tipsy from the alcohol, I still wanted to relive that night but sober since I didn't remember much of it. I wanted to know how he felt wrapped around my body, sheets tangled about our legs... his lips on mine.... his....
I shook my head, blood creeping up my face as I pictured us doing forbidden things. Strictly professional, that was the only way this was going to work. I needed to remember my purpose here and never forget it. Sean was my only priority and it needed to stay that way. No matter what happened, what Dark said, I needed to keep my head on straight. There was too much at stake to get distracted or waste time on chasing stupid feelings.
I walked outside to my car, sitting inside before texting Wilford's number. I needed to tell him what I learned before he thought I was useless.
Anti: Hey Wilford I got some information out of him. It's not much, but I did find out who those people in the photos were.
I stared at my phone, hoping he'd respond quickly. I didn't want to be out of the house for long and risk rousing suspicion from Dark. I needed to try and make a system for getting a hold of Wilford so I wouldn't get caught from Dark. My phone dinged, signaling a message from Wilford that I hurriedly opened. You couldn't keep him waiting long.
Wilford: Good boy. I knew you could do it. What did you find out?
Anti: So there's good news and bad news about it. The people are his mother and brother, but they are both long dead.
Wilford: Well, that's unfortunate. Did you find out anything else about him?
Anti: Kind of? He did say that the reason he got into the hitman business was to avenge their deaths. Seems like he is still looking for whoever killed them.
Wilford: Did you manage to get their names at all? Maybe I can find something about who killed them, use that information to our advantage.
Anti: Sadly, I didn't. However, I am working on it. We went to The Forsaken Agency headquarters today and I sat in on a meeting about my presence.
Wilford: How did that go?
Anti: Not very well. No one trusts me, which was expected. However, Dark defended my being here which was a big surprise so I think I've gotten under his skin a little. Or he's just trying to save his ass when it comes to his rank in the agency. I'm not quite sure of that yet.
Wilford: Well once you know more about your standing with him I expect an update. Have you found out anything else about him? Any living family? Friends? Connections at all? Please tell me you can give me something I can work with here.
Anti: I wish I could, but this man is locked down tight. I barely managed to get that much out of him this morning without him throttling me. He's not an easy man to get into.
