Terina was working in her lab, when she felt a cramp in her back, "No!" she groaned, hitting a call button.

"Yes miss Terina, what can I do for you?" a trooper asked, picking up.

"Call me a medic!" she hissed, sitting down at one of the desk chairs, the cramps starting to move from her back, to her stomach, "Now!"

The trooper hung up and obeyed, calling the medic and telling him to go to Terina's office.

The cramps got worse and finally the stupid medic got there.

After 15 hours of labor, Jax was born.

The medic tried to give the swaddled baby to his mother, but she turned away.

"Take that ugly thing out of my sight this instant!" she snapped, refusing to look at the baby. She didn't want him. She had never wanted him, "Take him to his father or drown him or something, I don't care!"

The medic handed Jax to a nurse and she rushed away, bringing the baby to his father, who was waiting expectantly to see him.

Terina closed her eyes, and lay back, resting for a few moments before she got back to work.

"ma'am, you need to care for your son-"

"Don't you dare try to tell me how to raise my son!" Terina snarled.

The medic flinched, "Yes ma'am." he packed up his supplies, and left her office. He felt bad for the poor baby, his mother didn't want him, and his father wouldn't be able to be with him 24/7.

Lex took Jax from the nurse and smiled at him, "hello my son."

The nurse smiled at them, and then walked away. It wasn't her job to tell the father that the baby's mother didn't want him, and had suggested that they drowned him. How could someone not love their baby? Babies were so cute and perfect! This little one had committed no crimes, and hadn't given anyone a reason to hate it.

Terina loathed the baby for some reason. "They should just drown him," she muttered, getting up and getting back to work.
