Chapter 1//How it all starts...

Laine's pov~
(4 grade)It was lunch and I was playing hide and seek with all my friends. Me and Steven were hiding in the back of the school "you think they'll find us!?"I say "Nah. They wouldn't come all the way back here"he says and looks around the corner "omg! Ima get you guys!"I hear our friend Ema yell "Ahh! Run Laine!"Steven says so I follow behind him laughing "common!"he says "ok! Ok! I'm coming!"I say while catching up to him. We went to the old bathrooms and wait outside of them "There's no way they'll come here! There to scared"he says. I am scared of these bathrooms though cuz there haunted! "Ugh. Maybe we should go hide somewhere else"I say "no! This is the best hiding spot in the school!"he says "but I..."he cut me off "oh, don't tell me your another one of those STUPID people who think these bathrooms are haunted!"he says laughing "I'm not. I just think that they will come here. That's all"I lied Cuz I don't want him to know that I actually am scared "Ok good"he says and stares at me "What!?"I say "Nothing why can't I just look at you?"he says "idk it's kinda awkward"I say and out of nowhere he hugs me. We back to our class cuz the bell had just rang. I sat in the back with my squad: Aramis, Jackie, Dylan, Zoie, Abby, Aron, Diddy, Weasel, Steven and me (I know! It's a huge squad!) I was having fun until I heard Steven tell the boys 'I'm going out with Lanne' and the first thing they said was "eww! Gross!" "Lanne why are you going out with Steven!?"the girls said but I just put my head down into my arms "Bruhh you can do better than Lanne!"a couple guys said that weren't even our friends and at this point I was crying! My first boyfriend and I'm already getting made fun of! I was crying so hard! "Steven break up! She's no good!"those same guys said "Lanne I just realized that I don't wanna go out with you after all.
