chifuyu was now with aki, and they are currently on their way towards the animal shelter where chifuyu volunteered to work at during saturdays.

chifuyu was really happy that the vermilion-haired girl beside him forgave him for what he did to her. because of what happened, chifuyu learned something new about aki again, and that is how aki doesn't hold grudges, and she forgives easily.

chifuyu couldn't help remember the day wherein he apologized to her and asked her out on a date.

"go chifu! you can do it!" keisuke yelled at him, as his friends watch him head towards where aki was.

"courage chifu! courage!" takemichi screamed as he hold out a notebook that has the word 'courage' written on it with capital letters.

chifuyu was thankful of his friends cheering for him, but as much as he was thankful for their support, their cheers actually made him more nervous.

what if aki doesn't forgive him? what if she slaps him? those thoughts lingered in his mind as he walked towards aki's club room while carrying some of his mangas.

chifuyu walked for a couple more minutes before he finally arrived in front of aki's club room.

he let out a deep sigh before knocking. he'll leave everything to the heavens now.

he stood there for a few seconds before a tall girl opened the door.

"hi, is kobayashi-san inside?" he nervously asked the tall girl who cowered over him.

to his surprise the tall girl squealed before nodding and said, "aki-chan, someone is here for you."

"hmm? who is it reika-chan?" chifuyu heard aki ask from the inside.

"someone you know. i'll leave you two for now," reika said to chifuyu before she opened the door wider for chifuyu, and in order for her to leave.

"thank you!" chifuyu bowed to reika and reika just smiled at him before she headed to the cafeteria.

chifuyu entered the room, and slowly closed the door. nervous was an understatement to what he was currently feeling right now, he feels like his heart would come on from his chest in any moment.

"who is it?" aki turned her swivel chair around, and her eyes widened upon seeing chifuyu.

"oh, it's you," she coldly said to him. making chifuyu sweat more.

"kobayashi-san...i'm here to apologize for what happened at lunch during the other day," chifuyu started.

"ah, yeah...you left me," aki said and looked at him with icy stares.

"yes, and that was wrong of me. i was a jerk. and that's why i'm here to apologize to you, and let you borrow some of my mangas, and to ask you out on a date, of course, only if you agreed."

chifuyu watched as aki stood up from her seat, and made her way towards where chifuyu was standing, not breaking eye contact.

aki looked so intimidating right now, and chifuyu couldn't help but gulp.

"you really think i would forgive you, and go on a date with you after you left me at the cafeteria?" aki asked chifuyu.

"i...i...don't know..." chifuyu nervously answered.

"of course i would!" aki exclaimed, and smiled at chifuyu.

"wait, really?" chifuyu asked, completely shocked at aki's sudden change of mood. he was sure that aki looked like she was about to strangle him earlier, but now, she looked so happy.

"yes, really! you think i won't forgive you after what happened? that's just silly. it wasn't a big deal matsuno-san, it's totally fine," aki said before she gestured chifuyu to put down the mangas that he was still carrying.

"thank you, kobayashi-san," chifuyu smiled back at her, in awe of how kind and pretty she was.

"and call me aki okay? being called by my last name is weird."

"okay, call me chifuyu too!"

"alright, chifu, so what's this manga about?"

"oh, i don't know if you're actually into sports manga, but this one is about football. isayama actually suggested this manga to his readers."

"really? well this manga must be great!"

"yeah but the ones that i have is still incomplete," chifuyu smiled sheepishly.

"that's okay! thank's chifuyu-san!"

"you're welcome, aki-san."

"by the way, about our date, where are we going?"

chifuyu froze in his sport as he actually haven't planned anything.

"oh, uhmm, i'mma take you to the animal shelter where i volunteered to work at during saturdays, is that okay with you?"

"yes! totally!"

and that's how chifuyu and aki are on their way towards the animal shelter.

when his friends heard about his idea for his first date with aki, he got an earful from them, saying that it was weird to take her with him to work, but they couldn't do anything now since it was already too late to change plans.

"chifuyu-san?"

"yeah?" chifuyu turned to look at aki who was ten times prettier than she normally was. her vermilion-colored hair was tied in a braid, while her outfit which was some skirt, and shirt with a flannel suited her perfectly.

"i have to tell you something."

"what is it, aki-san?"

"i'm actually scared of dogs."
