12. Athanasia was a Duke's daughter?!-3

Athanasia and Lucas watch as the new Duchess of the Robane household is welcomed.

No one seemed to mind the fact that she had a little three year old, adorable, girl with her.

Why? Because they were elite servants. To be able to work in a duchy, they had to had a few elite qualities too.

Plus, things were already explained to them. The other unnecessary drama wasn't needed.

⟨"Judging by their attitudes, athanasia won't suffer here." Athanasia heaved a sigh of relief as she spoke out.⟩

Not a single person looked at her with the gaze she was used to.

There was no disgust, no loathe, not even a little dislike. She watched in pure disbelief as they welcomed her and her 'mom'.

Unfortunately she couldn't witness Felix and Lily's wedding but seeing this she was overcome with indescribable relief and happiness.

From afar she could see two people standing. A red-head and a grey haired man. Though both of them looked too much alike. She realised, he was Felix's father, the former duke.

"Athanasia." A genuine smile was painted on Felix's face as he called out to her after greeting his wife.

"F-father." athanasia stuttered out.

Immediately Felix's face brightened up as he hugged her tightly but still careful not to hurt her.

"She called me mom." Lily's voice sounded, in a little teasing tone.

Instantly his brightened face dropped. He looked at athanasia pitifully.

athanasia was at a loss at what to do as she stuttered out frantically

"D-dont be sad! D-dad!" and that was what it took for him to revert back to his happy mood.

Lilian couldn't hold back her laughter as the tense atmosphere eased out and they started to become comfortable with each other.

( Felix's dad: hey... you forgot me...

In a certain shitty dukedom,

There was a white haired man smugly grinning to himself to the point that it started to look creepy.

Why? Because tomorrow was the emperor's birthday.

And according to his oh-so carefully planned out plot, his 'ward' would be introduced as his majesty's 'daughter'.

Why didn't he introduce her earlier? Obviously because of that damn anastasius. Why did anastasius stop him? He didn't know and now he doesn't care because finally the day had arrived.

In another room of that same shitty dukedom was a pretty brunette stiffly sitting on her bed. All that was there in her head was her father. She was going to meet him tomorrow.

AAH SHE WAS GOING TO MEET HIM TOMORROW!!!

And that's how she was freaking out. Undoubtedly she was immensely happy that she was finally going to meet her one and only family.
