"are you two alright? you were stuck in there for a good four hours with nothing but what you have in that bag." the man asked as he had a comforting smile, it was clear he was genuinely worried about the boys.
"yeah we're okay, a little shaken up but we're okay."mingyu said flashing his canines. wonwoo was still glued to him, he hadn't let go since they got out. "okay the power is out in the building, the generator can only hold up the lights, so it's better if you guys stay somewhere else for the next day or two." The man explained to the boys, then went off to help the rest of the workers.
mingyu already had a place in mind and was about to ask wonwoo if he wanted to come, but then wonwoo already spoke. "guess i'm sleeping in the cold." wonwoo grumbled out. "why? i mean i have a place in mind if you're willing to stay with me?" mingyu suggested he didn't want wonwoo staying in a cold, dark, lonely apartment, he wanted wonwoo with him.
wonwoo didn't want to bother mingyu or whoever else he would be meeting if he went with mingyu, but he just couldn't resist the temptation of being in mingyu's arms. "ok, but where are we going?" wonwoo inquired, he needed to know where he was sleeping tonight. mingyu wondered if he should really tell wonwoo where they're planning to go, he suspected wonwoo would freak out and immediately reject his offer.
so he did the best thing he could think of,
he lied to him.
"we are going to a summer house that i bought last year, it'll just be us. "wonwoo let out a sigh of relief, he didn't want to deal with anymore human interaction. they went to leave and head to the "summer house" and that's when they saw it. it was pouring even harder and it had started thundering,
and of course one of them was scared of thunderstorms. they were both frozen in their spots, wondering how they would get through this mess. "mingyu, are you okay?" mingyu looked like a deer in headlights. his hand held wonwoo's with a hard grip, he felt as if wonwoo would disappear.
he always hated thunderstorms, as a kid it would always remind him of his biological dad. he had never grown out of the fear, since he lived alone he would just call his close friends over. wonwoo slowly realised what was happening, mingyu was scared. "i can't... i won't go out there." mingyu somewhat declared in his trembling voice. "mingyu do you trust me?" wonwoo questioned, he knew the answer, but he wanted mingyu to know. "of course i do, i just..." wonwoo knew mingyu was terrified, but he wanted to show him the beauty of a storm. for wonwoo the thunder and wind were voices that kept him company on lonely nights. the rain drops that ran down his window reflected the world when it was restful.
wonwoo grabbed mingyu by the waist and slowly started walking to the door. mingyu couldn't really focus on what was going on and just let wonwoo drag him, that was until he felt the harsh wind hit his face. "wait, wait, wait, wait, wonwoo i can't do this." mingyu squeezed out, he trusted wonwoo, he didn't even know if he wanted to get over this fear. wonwoo knew this would be hard, but he would be here for his boyfriend.
"bubs, you need to trust me, i will always be right here." wonwoo tried to reassure mingyu that he was there to help. he saw that Mingyu wasn't paying attention, so he took the chance to slowly pull him into the rain. mingyu felt the cold water hit his skin and he flinched at first, but eventually it came to somewhat soothe him. Wonwoo saw how Mingyu soon relaxed and not tense up, "see? it's not that bad." wonwoo cheekily smiled. mingyu pouted, wonwoo was right but he still wished he had warned him. "you could've been nicer about it." wonwoo scoffed, but when he faced Mingyu he wore a small smirk. by now Wonwoo had let mingyu out of his grasp to let him enjoy the rain, but now he wanted him back in his hold. wonwoo walked up to mingyu and grabbed him by the waist. mingyu stumbled a bit from the sudden pull but soon got distracted by those cat-like eyes and his lips.
those lips begging to be kissed.
