"i have a night shift today so i can't stay long with you. don't get too drunk, no one will take care of you," nako says and nudges chaewon, getting an eye roll in response. "you know i'm not that type of person who likes to get drunk."
"yeah, but i'm just reminding you." chaewon shakes her head playfully and locks nako's head in her arms. "nako, you're so thoughtful. that's why i love you," chaewon sings, literally strangling her poor friend.
chaewon continued to annoy nako until a bus came. it didn't take long and they got to their destination because there is no traffic.
chaewon continues to annoy nako until a bus came. it won't take long to get to their destination since there's no traffic today, fortunately. 'maybe it's a lucky day today,' chaewon thinks to herself, smiling as she stares through the bus window. ''oh no!" nako suddenly exclaims when she her pocket mirror fell. a broken mirror symbolizes bad luck. 'maybe not, then.'
the bus stops and the two goes out of it. they continue to walk to a pathway that seems to lead to something. a gate.
as they get closer to the gate, music and sound of chattering are heard. nako pushes the gate with her small hands and chaewon peeks inside. there are many people inside... expensive looking people.
"are you sure this is the right one? sis, i don't think we belong he..." chaewon stops herself from talking when she spots the only girl she has her heart for, minju. she's completely starstrucked. so starstrucked that she didn't even notice nako left her and went inside by herself.
chaewon only stands there, watching every movement the girl does. she never encountered minju wearing these clothes before, and minju looks gorgeous in them. she's wearing an off-shoulder dress. it's nothing new, but nobody wears it like minju in chaewon's eyes.
chaewon continues to stare at the girl until someone bumps into her, making her jump and come back to her senses. "geez, how long was i staring?" she mutters under her breath.
she glances at the area where minju was, noticing she's already out of sight. chaewon scratches her hair and begins making her way inside the house.
the time she went inside, she didn't expect such a wide space inside since it looks like a small house from outside. many people are chattering, but not loud enough to ring her ears.
she moves her head everywhere to look for nako, but she's nowhere to be found. nako is her only friend, but she's not the only friend nako has, so she finds it normal if her friend just disappears when she's with her.
bored and feeling out of place, chaewon paces around to find what she can do until someone bumps into her, spilling the hot soup and some of the noodles from the ramen cup to her chest.
"oh my god, i'm so sorry, i didn't mean to! i wasn't looking in the way, i'm really sorry," the girl who accidentally spilled ramen over chaewon rants and rushes to a counter table to get a tissue.
the girl quicky lends the tissue to chaewon and bows to apologize once again. chaewon accepts it and genuinely smiles at the girl, signalling that it's okay.
but of course, it's not. who would be okay if someone spilled hot ramen to their shirt? must be an angel.
chaewon fastly walks to a place free of people and fortunately founds a folded towel on a bench beside the pool indoor. she goes toward it to reach it and feel it, "it's clean."
she takes off her flannel before she hesitantly grabs the towel and pats her chest and the other parts that got wet. "chaewon?" someone called. chaewon immediately recognizes that angelic voice. she turns around to face the only person she wants to see in that place.
chaewon curses in her mind, 'why did she have to see me during a situation like this?' she shakes her thoughts off, convincing herself that this moment is a sign that minju is her true love for an absolutely dumb reason which is minju catching her cleaning her ramen-coated shirt...
minju notices chaewon's situation, "...do you need a clean shirt? it's okay, i can borrow you." chaewon's heart is beating so fast, fast enough to even breathe. "o-oh, it's fine, totally." it's the second lie chaewon said in that day. she's hoping that minju won't believe her, and luckily, she didn't.
minju laughs it off and goes to somewhere to get a shirt. chaewon only stands there alone, fluttered... and confused. her mind floods with 'why does she have a shirt here? is this her boyfriend's house? or just a friend? does she live here?'
minju comes back with a clean shirt and lends it to chaewon. chaewon awkwardly receives it and looks around if there's a near restroom. minju observes the other girl's actions as she scratches her nape, "the restroom is quite far from here, you need to pass those people outside before you get there... you can change here, it's okay. i won't look."
they are the only people in that area, so it's actually... safer. "okay, then," chaewon replies, a tint of pink visible in her cheeks. minju turns around, facing nothing, signalling for the other girl to change. chaewon honestly doesn't want to change there, but what can get worse? her life is already ruined just by getting embarassed in front of her crush. though, it's a cute type of embarassment because chaewon's a cute girl.
"y-you can look now," chaewon says and curses herself after for stuttering. "thanks for the shirt." she just noticed that she was too whipped to even say thank you. "it's no problem," minju says, and plant a smile on her face, enough to collapse chaewon's braincells.
silence comes. nobody dared to talk. to minju, it's a comfortable silence, but it's the complete opposite to the other. chaewon wants to runaway. minju keeps glancing at the other, but chaewon is too frozen to move.
"do you want a drink?" minju suddenly talks, breaking the silence. "i'm allergic to shrimps," chaewon blurts out, not even understanding what the girl said. minju holds her laugh, "okay, come with me, let's have something that isn't shrimp."
chaewon is too embarassed yet too whipped. the fact that her crush didn't embarass her more and respected her for saying such random things.

the two spent the whole day together. they didn't care about the party anymore, the only thing in their mimds right now is that they created a friendship.
"my cousin won't consider cleaning so i'll probably will."
chaewon furrows her eyebrows, "what do you mean?" minju faces chaewon. 'i guess, she didn't know that i also live in that house.'
"well, there are times that i sleep in my cousin's because my apartment is quite far from school."
"wait, so, your cousin's the one who threw the party?" the clueless girl asks. minju nods, smiling at her cuteness. 'i've embarassed myself to many times now, thank god that my crush is understanding,' chaewon thought.
honestly, minju didn't mind, all chaewon did was nothing embarassing to her. she found them cute.
but that doesn't mean she's already falling in love with her. unlike what chaewon is thinking right now.
"do you like someone right now?" chaewon asks all of a sudden, and minju's smile drops before she looks away.
here it comes..
