faces moving closer to each other, her hands around his neck, his palm on her thigh, crawling closer to her...
yuina's eyes widen. "how did you know about that video?" sehun scrunches his eyebrows as she isn't supposed to know that he knows about that. he sighs and says, "your classmate showed it to me."
"what? who?" sehun shrugs and yuina massages her temples, irritated by what's happening. "this is exactly why i want to run away. people keep invading my privacy. like hell, can't i live a peaceful life once?"
sehun somewhat felt bad for his sister but he's talking to her for her own sake. "look, i know i should've respected your privacy, but i'm just trying to protect you. if you're seeing some boy, please, at least tell me about it. that's what siblings are for, right?"
yuina just rolls her eyes as she thinks he's just bringing that up to convince her. "you can't trust anyone right now but me. you never know what your friends' intention to you," sehun adds and yuina still doesn't look convinced. "who are you to pick who i should trust? you can't control my life just because you're my older brother," she says and picks her bag before walking away.
yuina has a point, but she doesn't get what her brother means. sehun wants to know that she has a brother to trust. friends can be trustworthy, or you just think they are. if the friends you trust turn into your enemies, they can betray you if you ever shared your darkest secrets with them. sehun isn't telling yuina to not have friends, he just wants her to know that she shouldn't put all of her trust to them.
their mother always taught sehun to not trust people easily, and that they are lucky to have a family to trust, because not all people do. that's before she died. sehun is passing that knowledge to yuina. friends... we need them to survive life. they replace our family when our family isn't by your side. like at school, making friends is like making family. but 'friends'... they are also there to use you. we have no idea, they can be true, they can be not. we just need to be careful.

minju stands in the middle of the hallway, arms around her books. she's thinking about how she's going to invite people to a party, but she doesn't have friends. she is popular, but people who wants to be friends with her are making it obvious that they want her for clout.
she pushes her hair backwards and just continues to walk down the hallway. in deep thought, her eyes are focused to her shoes, not knowing someone is on their way to the opposite direction. their shoulders bump into each other, cutting off minju's thoughts.
minju and chaewon's eyes meet. "i'm sorry, i wasn't looking in the way," minju says right away and chaewon continues to chew her rainbow candy, staring at the other. "no, it's okay... you want?" chaewon asks, offering a rainbow belt. minju hesitates to take it but she did. it's her favorite so she can't resist it. her and chaewon have something in common, after all.
chaewon is surprised that minju actually accepted her little offer. small tint of blush is seen in her cheeks as she looks down. "thanks," minju mutters shyly and chaewon nods cutely. after the small interaction, they both separate their ways.
chaewon happily walks towards the elevator. about to press the elevator button, someone approaches her and taps her shoulder. "excuse me miss, the elevator isn't working today. it says at the sign," some boy says and points at the note pinned on the wall. chaewon frowns, "oh, okay."
'i didn't notice that,' she says in her mind and walks down the hallway, reaching the end where the stairs are located. chaewon stares at the long staircase that queues to their floor. she starts taking the stairs and aggresively takes a bite of her candy. it took quite long for chaewon to reach the floor. she leans on the wall when she finally reached the classroom. "i've completely lost my energy," she mutters and goes inside the room.
"chaewonnie!" small nako calls excitedly, waving her hand with a smile painted on her face. chaewon smiles back tiredly and takes the seat beside her. "have you heard?" nako starts and chaewon looks at her, all ears. "wait, why do look like that?"
chaewon shots a glare at nako, "what do you mean?" nako just wheezes, pointing a finger at her friend's face which chaewon pushed away. "did the elevator stop working? it was working a while ago. i know, lucky me." chaewon rolls her eyes playfully, "whatever, what were you saying?"
"there's gonna be a party this weekend, and it seems like the whole school is coming. let's come?" nako asks with puppy eyes and smiles weirdly. chaewon isn't a party person, but nako said the whole school is gonna be there. meaning, minju will come for sure. how could she not say yes to that?
