CHAPTER FIVE - The Surprise

"Wife." Carlos said while sitting at the bed. Alam kong naka tingin siya sakin kaya binitawan ko muna ang cellphone ko para humarap sa kaniya.

Tomorrow is Sunday, and I need to check if my surprise for Carlos is already settled. I want it to be perfect, alam kong matutuwa siya kapag nasabi ko na ang surpresa ko sa kaniya.

"Hubby?" I ask him, as I sat beside him. I look at him as he replace his arms around my wrist. He layed his head on my shoulder making me smile.

"Simula kahapon busy ka sa cellphone mo, hindi mo ako pinapansin. Did I do something to make you angry? Galit ka ba sa akin? " Carlos said as he planted a kiss from my neck.

"Wala n-naman, and no, hindi ako galit sa 'yo. Carlos stop that, nakikiliti ako."

"Then why are you always at your phone? K'onti nalang magseselos na ako diyan sa cellphone mo." He said while glaring at my phone.

"Tommorow, may pupuntahan tayo." I said to Carlos and winked at him. He smiled and hugged me tight.

I can't wait to surprise him and tell him that I'm pregnant. I can't wait to build a family with him. Sana lang walang humadlang sa pagmamahalan naming dalawa. Cause, God knows how I wanted a happy and complete family. Walang gulo, walang hadlang.

I mean, sino ba'ng hindi mag hahangad ng kumpletong pamilya kasama ang taong mahal na mahal niya, wala naman diba. We all wanted a complete family.

Kinalas nito ang pagkakayakap niya sa akin. He looked me confused.

"You look excited, is it a date?"

"It's a surprise date, lov- ." I looked at Carlos with wide eyes.

"A surprise date.Hmm." He said whle nodding multiple times. "Did you miss calling me love, wife?"

"Uhuh?" Nasambit ko nalang dahil hindi ko alam ang isasagot sa kaniya. I just looking at him while smiling like a dog.

"Matagal narin nung huli kitang tinawag na 'love'. When you proposed to me that night, you started calling me wife. When dad heard that you're calling me wife, he started teasing me. Dad said I must call you hubby since magiging asawa naman na kita. Of course i said no because nasanay akong tinatawag kang love noon, pero kalaunan nasanay na din naman akong tawagin kang hubby. Akala ko kase noon na baka gusto mo'ng tawagin kitang hubby. So yeah, maybe I just miss calling you love." Pagpapaliwanag ko sa kaniya.

"Silly, you can still call me love if you want to. Wala nama'ng magbabago kung tatawagin mo ako sa kung anong gusto mo. You're still my wife even if you call me love or what so ever. No need to worry, wife." He said and kissed my forehead. I smiled and hugged him.

"I love you so, so much. Araw-araw kitang mahal." I whispered at his ears. He hugged me back. I started crying on his shoulder.

He tightened his hugged when he heard me sobbing. "Hey, why are you crying, wife?" He asked me with his soft voice.

" Sa sobrang ka sweetan mo, niiyak ako." He chuckled at my back. Carlos pulled away from his hug with me. He looked at my eyes as he wiped my tears with his hands.
