One Summer One Direction

Chapter 9

Kalie's P.O.V.

"And that's pretty much it," I say to my siblings through Skype. "So when are you guys leaving Utah?" I ask. Xander replies, "Actually right when we are done talking to you, we will leave."

Grabbing my laptop I walk across the wooden floors and reach the fridge. I take the raspberries from the fridge and slam the door closed with my butt before walking to the living room, and sitting down on the smaller couch. I reach for the coffee table and slide it closer to me so I can place my laptop on it.

Xander starts talking about my little sister Alison who is preschool and how she likes it so far. "I heard my name so I'm guessing I'm wanted here." she says, covering Xander and Nixon's faces with her own. She doesn't know quite what personal space is and she is right up in mine. If I wanted, she's close enough I could probably count the hairs up her nose, but I don't. In addition, she was fogging up her camera and my computer screen every time she exhaled a breath.

"So Ali, how is preschool?" she has a tendency of not liking the kids at her school, but we think this one is the real deal.

"Well girls are girls and boys are boys, but do you want to know the best part Kalie?"

Knowing if I don't answer her little question she won't answer mine, I reply with a "Yes, I want to know what the best part is."

"The best part is that we get food!!!" by this point of her waiting to tell me, she has started bouncing up and down on Xander's lap. We talk a little bit more with her and than she says goodbye to me because she has to go.

"I love you Kalie, like mommy says don't talk to strangers. I love you. Bye. Bye. Bye. Ok bye now. Bye" and just like she appeared on the screen, she was off it.

"Ok so you guys are leaving after we are done talking?" I start asking them to make sure I got the plans straight and I'm not missing anything.

"Kal, I'll just go over it again. We have five cars and only 3 girls with older siblings so we are splitting since there are 3 of us going we are going to take Beth's and City's car. I will take yours, Xander will take Beth's and Analisa will take City's" Nixon explains to me, but the minute I hear my older sisters' name I kind of forget it all.

"ANALISA IS COMING!?!?!"

"Umm yes Kalie she's coming... She got the summer off and said she wanted to spend time with you, so that's what's happening if you didn't know, but from the looks of your face, I'm guessing you didn't know that." Happy is an understatement, I'm ecstatic for my sister to come visit! She and the girls are what keeps me sane these days, actually I'm not sure about that anymore. Sane is a bit of a stretch.

"Sorry I didn't know, but please continue"

"Okay, so Analisa is taking City's car, Nathan is taking Zam's car, and Jacob is taking Tal's car. And we're all just staying in a hotel nearby you guys so you will have us close by." We've been talking for much longer than we planned to, so I start to tell them my goodbyes so they can arrive in California earlier.

"I'll see you guys tonight then. Xander and Nathan, be careful with Zam and Beth's cars. They will have your heads if anything happens to their babies. Any who, love you guys and careful on the roads. See you soon! Bye." I close Skype and then close my laptop, leaving it on the table before I call the girls to tell them the plans before our siblings come.

The girls all come from whichever part of this house they were in and wait for me to tell them the plan. After I tell them everything, Zam stand up and adds to the conversation by saying.

"Nathan better not mess with my car, I'm so happy I'm getting my baby!" she says before she throws her hands in the air and starts running around the living room with all of us watching her like she's gone crazy.
