Lisa woke up with a pain inside her head. She couldn't sleep again. She dropped her sleeping pills that she's taking almost regularly somewhere when they're visiting an aquarium near their hotel in Texas.
Today was the last leg of their North America tour, and tomorrow they'll be going back to South Korea for a one-week break before they start their Europe tour.
She opened her phone to look at the time and as soon as she opened it, she saw their photos on that night when Jungkook surprised her with an extraordinary star gazing at Gwacheon observatory. It was such a great memory to look at.
It's been 4 months since that painful event. Even though she wanted to turn back time and undo everything that made them separated, she couldn't.
After the Gaon Chart Award she knew Jungkook would approach her any time soon, so with her anger filled her system back then she insisted her mother visit her for a week before they start their world tour. She bought a fully furnished 2-bedroom apartment in Hongdae instantly just to avoid the man.
She knew that Jungkook wanted to do everything just to talk to her, but she's too broken to talk to him at that time. Too hurt to listen. Too hurt to forgive.
Was it a good decision?
Buying an apartment for her parents, Yes
But trying to get rid her feelings and forgetting him, No
She couldn't sleep, again and again. As soon as she closes her eyes, she can still see his tears and hear his trembling voice trying to apologize that day. Every time she drifted to sleep, the nightmare of the night on Gaon chart wouldn't leave her, she kept on dreaming of it on repeat.
It's like guilt was forcing her to stay awake.
She saw every article in the media about them. She saw every hashtag of Bestfriends for them. It hurts to see them mourning for their broken friendship.
She saw him wearing an LK necklace every concert, may it be either Europe or America. She cried so much that she almost booked a flight going to London to assist him when he got injured in O2 Arena.
She can't bear to watch him as he ran his fingers over their necklace while he cried in front of their fans, sitting helplessly on the barstool during his solo performance. He sang their first song instead of Euphoria, he sang it painfully and with longing until he choked on his sob on the part where he heard her background voice. He kept asking for her forgiveness in front of sympathetic eyes of the fans.
She felt very sorry for him.
Right now, she doesn't need him to love her.
Right now, she wants to forgive him. heck she already did.
Right now, she just wanted to bring back their lost friendship.
