Sam was in a predicament. He had been with Dream a lot more and it's caused feelings that shouldn't be there. It's wrong. Sam is supposed to be the warden. Sam shouldn't have feelings for the criminal he's guarding. Dream was supposed to be going through hell with him and Quackity. But, now he was living a life of luxury because of Sam's unawareness of his feelings. Dream didn't really care. It's not like he could in the first place.

Dream couldn't love Sam back. Never. But, he couldn't stop the creeper from stopping his overbearing affection.

"Sam, you don't need to do these things for me. I'm a prisoner. Don't get yourself caught up with someone who's on the brink of insanity and death."

"It doesn't matter. I've doing this for weeks. I'll do this."

"I won't stop you but Quackity will become worse if he finds out."

"If you're worried about me. I'll hide it."

Sam made a hatch under Dream's chest. It was filled with blankets and other things to keep Dream's imprisonment slightly bearable. He left bandages and healing for when Quackity was done with his horrible motives that Sam didn't know about, even if he asked Dream. He sometimes put different snacks inside as a little surprise. Along with a well written letter of his affection.

Even though Dream couldn't reciprocate the feelings, he kept the letters. Sometimes when he read them it gave him an unusual reaction. He could smile..

Sam became more curious about Dream again. Asking very specific questions. The masked man wasn't unwilling to answer. Most of them felt honest. Sam always felt giddy when he was allowed to hold Dream's hands.

"Dream, tell me about the discs. Why were you so expressive when you had them?"

"Because it gave me expressions."

"What?"

"I was just as confused. At least when I had them. Tommy's discs as much as I used to say they were nothing, were sentimental. They are infused with Tommy and Tubbo's affection for each other in their friendship. So their expressions flowed through me."

"So when you're being overly unbearable, it was you acting like Tommy?"

"I don't think your nephew would appreciate hearing that."

"He'll live."

Sam felt somewhat upset that Dream didn't have the discs anymore. If Dream had them, if he had those in his possession...Dream could love him. This beautiful, broken man would be with him.

"Sam, you're staring."

"You're just so beautiful."

"I'm not. I am a criminal."

"A gorgeous one."

"You're digging a grave that you can never crawl out of."

"Even if I lean in.."

Sam moved close to Dream's face.

"If you're thinking of kissing me, you're going to hate it. I haven't showered. Nor been able to stay hygienic."

"Don't lie. I leave you things to keep clean."

Dream looked away towards the opening of his cell. He did lie. He didn't want Sam to become attached. It would be bad for him but not for Dream.  XD will be waiting for him on the other side once he's killed. For Sam, no mercy, sent to the void where everyone else will go.

"Sam, you should really stop."

"Please. I just want one kiss."

"As much as this will hurt your feelings, you've become desperate, Sam. You have been deprived of affection, so now you're depending on me. I cannot love you, Sam."

"I don't care. Ponk never understood me. He left me, alone and miserable."

"Sam, you cut off his arm."

"He's nothing. He will never compare to anyone as beautiful as you."

"You've become obsessed. Again, we could never be."

"Don't do this to me, Dream."

Dream gave in. It's not like he could stop him. He kissed Sam. The emotions he got from them? Discomfort and disgust with a hint of happiness? He didn't want this man.  Or maybe he did. Maybe he did like Sam but this obsession made it feel bittersweet. Dream was nothing but a doll to Sam. He is supposed to just look pretty and not do anything.

Sam was insane.
