Finally the day of meeting Namjoon's family arrived. I had managed to get on to Korea time and was sleeping better. I wanted to make a good impression on them so decided to dress as demurely as possible. It was October now and the weather in South Korea was mild, so I went for a nice dress. It was a floral racer neck maxi dress. It didn't have sleeves so I put a thin cardigan over it in a colour that matched to the pink tones of the flowers. I wore a pair of white strappy sandals and silver hoop earrings. I had left my hair down and straightened it, put on a little makeup and put a few bits into a little white over the shoulder hand bag.

We were going to the Kim's house for a BBQ, it was just to be the 5 of us. I was so nervous, but Namjoon told me not to be and that they would all love me because he does. He always has the ability to make me feel at ease and relaxed. It helps he always has the words I need to hear.

We arrived to the house and made our way to the front door. I had insisted that I bring some flowers for his Mum and Sister and a bottle of his Dad's favourite drink. I found out that was Bokbunja which is a wine made from blackberries instead of grapes. Sounds really interesting.

Namjoon rang the bell and a few moments later his Mum answered the door. "Hi, welcome, come in come in" she says in a delightfully soothing voice. "It's so lovely to finally meet you Aimee" she says as the other 2 members of the family arrive in the entrance hall. "You too Mrs Kim" I say as calmly as possible trying not to show my nerves. "These are for you" I say passing her the flowers, and then I turn to Kyung Min his Sister and say "these are for you" I pass her her flowers and then lastly I turn to Mr Kim and taking the bottle from Namjoon pass it to him and say "and this is for you Mr Kim". They all look pleased and thank me saying that's sweet but that I didn't need too.

We move through to the kitchen where Namjoon's Mum starts to put the flowers into water. Mr Kim and his son walk out of the large folding doors into the garden to get the BBQ lit, so I am left with his Mum and Sister.

"So Aimee, have you settled in at the house?" His Mum asks. "I have yes, it's so lovely, and so big, but it is feeling like home already, especially as my Louis is there and of course my best friend" I say. She smiles and then continues with "I am looking forward to meeting Lori, Namjoon says she is a lovely girl, and anyone who can tame Yoongi must be a special person". What a lovely compliment that is. "She is definitely a very special girl. Her and Yoongi are a very good match" I reply.

"Are you and Namjoon as good a match?" Asks his Sister. So, I can take this 2 ways. The first being this is an innocent question as she is intrigued to see my response, or it's loaded with sarcasm and she doesn't think we are well suited. I don't want and drama so I take that it is innocent and answer back to her with "yes I think so. We have a lot in common, and I have a connection with him I have never felt with anyone else before". She looks happy enough with my response and nods.

"Would you like a drink Aimee?" His Mum offers. "We have wine, beer, soju or fruit juice". I want to keep a clear head so I ask for a fruit juice. She takes out some orange juice from the fridge and pours a glass for myself and Kyung Min, pours herself a white wine and opens 2 beers. "Shall we go and join the men?" She queries. I nod and pick up my orange juice and one of the beers and follow her out into the garden walking to Namjoon's side and passing him the beer. He thanks me and puts his arm around my shoulders. I watch his Mums reaction and it is one of a happy Mum. She smiles at us both and I know right then that we are going to be ok.

The day is relaxed, we talk about my life, what and whom I have left behind, how I am doing after my injuries and what kind of a wedding I would like. I tell them I don't want anything to big, that I would like to get married as the sun is setting as I find that the most romantic time of the day and love the colours of the sky then. I tell them I have looked in to the traditions of a Korean wedding and would like to have a paebaek as well if it something Namjoon wants. His Mum looks impressed that I have looked into it all, and looks at Namjoon and says "I like this girl".
