MLB: Felix and Marinette love struggle

The project

Adrien waited for Lila at the school entrance. She gave him a hug before realizing he was mad at her.

"What is wrong, Adrien" Lila asked pretending to be worried about him.

"I thought you were going to leave Matinette alone" he said angry. "I told you we wouldn't be friends anymore if you kept doing this."

Lila just smiled at him. Adrien didn't know she had a secret weapon.

"Well, turns out your father made me your new partner for 80% of the photoshoots, whether you like it or not. And at school you won't be able to change seats, Miss Bustier is aware of my health problems and my bad grades, she told me you would be my tutor. And don't worry about your father, he agreed to that. Your father really likes the idea of me being around you. You can't escape this." She smiled at Adrien who was in shock.

How could his father believe her lies? Adrien stood there silent. This time he couldn't fix things and even worse, he was going to suffer as well. If only his lady could help him.

The class started and it was as boring as Felix was expecting. He took a book out of his briefcase and started to read it. From time to time, he would look at Marinette, she was drawing something, but he wasn't quite sure what it was. He also would hear Adrien's heavy breath behind him. Looks like Lila was getting on his nerves.

"You are going to make a project for this class" Miss Bustier said, taking Felix out of his thoughts "You are going to work on pairs, and I will arrange the groups." He could see Marinette was worried about the pairs, nobody wanted to work with her.

The teacher started to call some student and giving them their partners. Adrien would work with Alya, Lila with Max, Chloe with Nino, and so on.

"Felix, you will work with Marinette". He saw how Marinette was relieved after the announcement. "You are still new, and you will need the help of the class president to guide you."

"Should we meet at the library?" Marinette asked Felix in a low voice as the teacher started to continue with the class.

Felix looked at Marinette. He could easily finish the project by himself. Actually, it was going to be his first time working with someone else. "I would like to go somewhere quieter; everyone is going to be at the library. Too much noise."

Marinette was thinking about a place where they could work in peace, the only place she could think of was her house. Felix agreed, he'd already been there, so there was not any issue at all.

The two of them walked to Marinette's house once the classes finished. They went to living room and started to work on the project. They only spoke when it was necessary, the silence wasn't uncomfortable for neither of them.

After three hours, they realize they were almost finish with the project. They worked very well and efficient when they were together.

Before they could finish, Sabine showed up and offered them some orange juice and snacks. Felix was hoping to get some delicious pastries since the moment he got to Marinette's house, but he didn't want to look like he loved the food from there, so he never mentioned it.

Then Tom showed up with some videogame controls, he was hopping to play they new game with her daughter and the new visit.

"Who wants to play some videogame" he asked exited. Marinette was getting blushed; her parents were doing it again. They always got too exited with Marinette's possible love interest.

"Dad! No..." Marinette started to move her arms really fats and getting nervous, she accidentally dropped the juice next to her, thankfully for her, Felix grabbed it in mid-air. He had really good reflexes.

Before she could apologize, Felix told her it was nothing. He then accepted her father's offer and went to play the videogame, he liked them, but it was another thing he was not going to admit. That's how they spent the rest of the day, Felix won against Sabine and Tom, but he couldn't beat Marinette. She was really good.

Felix realized it was almost 10 pm. He finished his last match and then apologized as he had to go back to his house. Sabine gave him some macarons and then Tom told him he has hoping he could come back for the rematch. Then Marinette walked towards the door with felix and they waited for the chauffer to pick him up.

"We couldn't finish the project" felix told Marinette while leaning over the wall. "I guess I should come back tomorrow" he then ate one of the macarons Sabine gave to him.

"I think it is a good idea."

Felix finally arrived at the mansion and found his mother waiting for him alongside Adrien. She was really curious about his whereabouts. She asked if he had already a girlfriend and that was the reason he arrived so late at home, but Felix just said it was a group project, nothing else. He also mentioned that he played some videogame with this girl and her parents, and he lost track of time.

Amelie got really exited about that. She then left Adrien and Felix alone while smiling and daydreaming about her possible new daughter-in-law.

"So... you spent all day with Marinette? And you played videogames with her?" Adrien asked with some envy. Afterall, he had a photoshoot that lasted all day.

"Yes, cousin. We also worked on the project, and we almost finished it. I will have to go back tomorrow, and the project should be ready." Felix said while putting a macaron into his mouth. Adrien was surprised they almost were done with the project, but Felix reassured him that it wasn't that hard. It turns out she is a very efficient person, and her family made delicious macarons.

Felix then left with a grin from ear to ear. He was sure his cousin was jealous from his face expression. But he wasn't sure if Adrien was jealous for his free from obligations day or the fact that he spent the whole day with Marinette.

Adrien went to his room as well and sighed sadly. Plagg came out of his jacket and flew directly to the Camembert Cheese.

The blonde sat on his bed with a gloomy look. If only he could have more freedom just like his cousin. He then transformed into Chat Noir and when to patrol the city, or at least that was the idea, because as soon as he saw Marinette's house, he went to say hi.

The raven-haired girl was on the balcony and when she saw the superhero, she beamed at him.

"How is my princess?" he asked intrigued. "How was your day?"

"It was really good" she answered immediately. "It was one of the best days I'd had in a long time."

"Really?" the superhero frowned. But Marinette was so exited to tell him about his day that she didn't notice her partner reaction.

Every detail she said about her day made Char Noir feel even worse for some reason. How come he'd never had a day like that with Marinette? Felix just arrived at the city, and he got to spend more time with her. How was that fair? Adrien had been friends with her for a longer time, why she'd never invited him to play videogames or share pastries with him in her house?

"Are you ok?" she asked after realizing the kitten was acting weird.

"Yes..." he coughed "I just feel tired. I guess I should go back to my house and get some sleep." He then kissed Marinette's hand and went back to his mansion.

After the detransformation, Plagg sat next to him with some cheese.

"I though you were going for a patrol."

"I was... I forgot about it." He said before falling asleep.
