"You mentioned wanting to go to Zora's Domain, so I've been mapping out our best route. From here, I think we should travel to the Wetland's Stable. It's probably only an hour or so walk, and we both need to rest up before we go on a big journey. After that, I thought we could go to Kakariko Village. I know it's a bit of a detour, but I know Impa is going to want to see you. Plus, we're going to need some supplies. After that, we can head through the Lanayru Wetlands and make our way towards the Domain. This will be our longest leg of the trip and there aren't any stables or villages in-between so we will have to have everything we need before we go. Does all that sound ok?" he lowered the map and looked up at Zelda.

She just stood and stared at him in shock. It had only been a few hours since they had defeated the Calamity. She had just woken up from a nap to find Link sitting by a campfire, pouring over a map. She hadn't even said a word to him before he started talking. This was so unlike how he had behaved one hundred years ago; it sent her mind reeling. "Uh... yeah... that sounds great..."

"Perfect!" He stood up and grinned at her, "We can get you some new clothes at the stable. I'm sure Beetle will have something you can wear at least until Kakariko Village."

"A Beetle?" She asked in confusion.

"No not A Beetle." He laughed as they started walking. "Just Beetle. He's a traveling salesman I'm friends with. He's a little... odd... kinda obsessed with bugs... but I think you'll like him. When we get to Kakariko Village we can get you something a little better. We could even have Senna and Sayge dye them for you if you want something more colorful. To do that though we'd have to go to Hateno Village. Maybe we can stop there after Zora's Domain. I'm sure Purah will be excited to see you."

"Purah's still alive?" Zelda said in surprise. "But she's older than Impa!"

Link chuckled, "Well, not quite. It's a long story, I'll explain later."

Zelda stared at him as they continued walking. "You seem to have made many friends during your travels."

He smiled wistfully, "Yeah I guess I have. It's funny, I've regained some of my memories, but not very many. I have several of my time with you and the champions, but I don't have any with my other friends. Odd right?"

Zelda chewed on her lip for a moment, "I... do not believe you had... many other friends..." she said sadly.

"Oh..." he looked down as they continued walking. "I guess that would explain why I can't remember them." He tried to make a joke, but it didn't really land.

"How much do you remember; of me I mean?" this was a question that she had been afraid to ask.

They stopped, and he turned around to look at her. "I remember you didn't like me very much at first..." she tried to say something but he kept going, "Don't worry about it, I know you were under a lot of stress and just needed an outlet. I was the perfect punching bag." The smile he gave her just made her heartache even more. "Eventually, you started to hate me a bit less. We eventually became friends, but then the Calamity struck." He looked down, "I'm sorry I couldn't protect you..."

"Oh, Link..." she quickly wrapped him in a hug, "You literally died for me. You did more than enough. I should be the one who is apologizing to you. If I had only awakened to my powers sooner..."

He shook his head, "It's not your fault either Zelda."

Her eyes widened, "You... called me Zelda..."

Panic filled his eyes, "Did I say something wrong?"

"No..." she chuckled, "In fact, you did something right." She elaborated when he gave her a confused look. "You never used to call me by my name. You would always say, Your Highness, or Princess. But I like this so much more..." she gave him a tight hug.

"Oh..." he was still confused, "Well, I'm glad you like it... Is there anything else about me that's changed?"

She grinned to herself, "Oh, a couple of things..."

"Like what?" he said with excitement, "I want to know what I used to be like!"

She laughed and started walking again, "I don't know, I wouldn't want you to go back."

"So, it's a good change?" he ran to catch up to her.

She gave him a smile, "Yes. A very good change."

The End.
