"You're so lucky I love you with everything in me because...boy." Kali trailed off as she put her BMW in park. "What's our cover again?" She asked, glancing at Demitrius.

Demitrius loaded his gun and passed the bullets to Kali, watching her to the same effortlessly. "Justin and Holly told us to come up to New York. Chris will believe it." D said, looking around.

"Yeah but Aug and Sin won't. August will if Chris does but you know how Sincere is, his intuition is crazy." Kali huffed. "Is your location on?"

"Nah, I got a new phone so I haven't shared it wit' anyone but you and Zo. I turned yours off as I did mine." Demitrius said handed her back her phone. "Now look, Jeremiah is suspicious of me already according to Mar, but if he sees me with you, he might actually think we're switching sides."

Kali bit her lip nervously and reluctantly nodded. It's not that she was scared of Jeremiah because she damn sure wasn't. She was scared of her boys, especially Sincere. Sincere would lose his shit and she feared that out of anger, he'd blow up the whole operation. Chris would just be disappointed in her and that alone will make her cower into a corner and cry. August's anger is already bad, but the fact that Demitrius made her lie and she went with it would piss him off even more and she didn't want to deal with that.

Kali didn't even want to do it without telling them but out of loyalty to her best friend, she had no choice. "Kali what are you thinking?"

"I'm trying to map ways out of here, I remember three exits out of the four." She answered. "D please tell me you know what the hell you're doing. If this goes wrong I won't be able to live with myself knowing something happened to you. What would I tell Sincere? Oh my God, what would I tell August!" She started to panic.

Demitrius sighed and held both of her hands, looking her dead in her eyes. "I got you. I got us, and we got each other. Do you understand?"

Kali nodded slowly and Demitrius pulled her in for a hug. "We'll be okay, I won't let anything happen to us, you trust me?"

"I trust you, I promise." Kali said.

"Good." Demitrius kissed her head and they hugged again, sighing in content.

The kids really loved each other and valued the friendship that they had. They were living proof that soulmates didn't always have to be romantic, they were also platonic. They were twin flames, one in the same and they loved each other more than anyone.

"Okay, I'm good. Come on." Kali nodded, turning off her car.

"Touch that door and I'll whoop your ass little girl." Demitrius joked, shutting his door before walking to her side of the car.

"Boy I'm older than you last time I checked." Kali sucked her teeth.

"Wow." D dramatically gasped. "A whole two years, oh my. Oh wait, a year and a half... right?" D frowned and looked at the ground. "I'm not doing the math, let's go."

"Stay in school for me, k?" Kali giggled and tucked the glock on her waist.

Demitrius flicked her arm and held her hand in his after knocking on Jeremiah's door. "Stay calm and don't talk unless I say something to you, aight?"

Kali nodded and looked up at Demitrius who was already looking down at her. "I love you."

"I love you too." Kali whispered and smiled, the front door opening suddenly.

"Yooo, my b- weird." Jeremiah said, looking Kali up and down. "Diabla, correct?"

Kali looked at Jeremiah with a straight face and Demitrius chuckled. "Nigga you know her name, move."
