"I love you too Dad. Be safe." I pout as I watched my dad get in his car and pull out the driveway.
"Pull yo' fat ass lip up boy. He gone?" I sucked my teeth and turned around to see my brother. Once or twice a month our father would go out of town for about a week or two for his job and come right back. His job happened to need him earlier this time and on short notice too, so I barely got to see him. When he was leaving I was just getting in the door.
"Yeah, you want the other half of my sandwich? I didn't finish it when I was at the mall, there's a cookie in there too." I said handing him the bag.
"Thanks Lil' Bit." He mushed my head and sat at the island in their kitchen as I watched him eat. "You good?" He asked with a mug on his face, his mouth full of food.
I giggled and smacked his head and went in the refrigerator and grabbed myself a bottle of water and also sat down at the island. "Yes, stop talking with your mouth full." He smacks his lips and swallows his food before talking again.
"How was your day? I see you went shopping with your lil' girlfriend." He smirks as I roll my eyes. Anytime I go shopping with Penny, I come home with something new. One time it was shoes, another it was some type of clothing? now it was an Alex and Ani bracelet. Whenever I mentioned Penelope or even went somewhere with her or she came over, Sincere would constantly tease me about Penelope liking me. Of course I thought it was far-fetched, or I convinced myself it was, but Sincere was set on it. Actually, a lot of people were.. even my dad.
"Shut up." I huffed. "It was okay though, I almost fought this girl and then this man got mad at me." I pouted and Sincere rose his eyebrow.
"Huh? What happened?" Oops, leave it to me to snitch on myself.
"So me and Penny was in line in H&M at Pentagon right? I was whining and complaining because my feet hurt, the line was taking forever and I was hungry. So Penelope told me to be quiet or whatever because she was pissed off too right? So the reason the line was moving so slow is because these bitches-"
"Watch yo' mouth." Sincere scolded.
"These girls," I said rolling my eyes, "I guess had went over whatever they were supposed to and couldn't pay for all their clothes right? So they up there acting a fool and arguing with the cashier when it was their fault. The cashier was being polite the whole time. So then they finally walked off and Penny was like 'about time' so one of them turned around and started purping and called Penny out her name so I stepped up and she got disrespectful so I swung at her, made her nose bleed and then mall security came and that's that." I said breaking off a piece of the cookie and putting it into my mouth.
