Bo Xiang’s face suddenly changed, “What the fuck are you on about?” he asked.

“Ugh fuck man don’t play dumb. I know that it’s the reason why you guys are fighting”

“You know or you assume?” Bo Xiang asked.

“You are the one who told me about it in the first place you dumbass, remember? The first time you guys argued about it while on honeymoon?”

Bo Xiang gazed at his cousin in confusion while recalling the first time he popped up the ‘baby’ topic
while on honeymoon, “Fuck!” he said out loud, “I was drinking and I thought I was texting A-Hao turns
out I texted you…” He paused and looked at Wen Jie, “Wait, it’s been a month since we came back why are you asking me about this now?” he added

“Well *sigh* I picked up the tension when I came to pick you guys up at the airport the other day and I thought you guys will resolve things like you always do… guess I was wrong” Wen Jie said while Bo Xiang
raised his eyesbrows indicating to him to continue,

“Then I noticed that your husband is forever distracted whenever he comes by at the gym and it’s not a good distraction; first…” Wen Jie said as he began using his fingers to count Zhi Gang’s incidents at the gym,

“He almost dropped a dumbbell on his foot, he walked right into a weight lifting machine without watching where he was going, almost fell off a treadmill while running; I don’t know if he missed a step or whether the speed was too fast so he couldn’t keep up with the pace. Then out of nowhere, another member found him kicking and punching the lockers like a maniac”

Bo Xiang kept a straight face while his cousin was busy counting his husband’s incident but deep down he wanted to run home and try coming up with a solution to their problem but not wanting to give in to Zhi Gang’s decision, “So? Why are you telling me this?” Bo Xiang asked as he stood up

“Stop being selfish Bo Xiang, that’s your fucking husband.” He said as he also stood up and walked towards him, “Are you telling me that a child is the reason why you guys are acting like strangers; a reason why your marriage is turning this way?”

“Mh” Bo Xiang said as he nodded

Wen Jie knew his cousin can sometimes be selfish but this time he was taking it a bit too far, “I went over to your house the other day and I found him crying, he was hurting. He honestly wants to give you what you want, what he promised you but now is now the time can’t you understand that? What the fuck is wrong with you?”

“Did he send you here? Is he the reason you decided to bring me lunch today? To try and tell me how to fucking handle my emotions and how to control my marriage? Do you even know why I want a child right now? Wen Jie, don’t act like you fucking know everything that happens in people’s lives okay?” Bo Xiang said as he pulled his chair and sat down

“You need to grow up, that is what you need to do. You are not the careless and carefree guy that you were while pursuing him back in school. Getting married changes a lot about two people-”

“And you are not even married let alone engaged or in a serious relationship. We have been together for eight years before tying the knot and-”

“It’s not the same, it is different. You can’t continue behaving the way you are right now because you want things to go your way….Yes I am not married or engaged but I am not a selfish asshole like you” Wen Jie took his car keys on top of the coffee table and walked towards the door, “You are being cold and unreasonable for no reason… dumbass” he said as he open the door and left.
