~Chapter two~

"He was hot." The new student said to me as we left the office.

She was human but she was irritating me.

Why was she looking at him anyway?

My brows furrowed. Why was I getting mad over someone calling him hot!? It's not like he was mine.

I looked over at her and gave her a small nod.

"Actually he was more than just hot he was-"

I left out a sigh. "Look, he could probably hear you so-"

Her brows furrowed. "He isn't here though. Oh, my god! Is he here!?" She squealed. I winced at her voice. "Vampires can hear your thoughts from a mile away. You think he won't be able to hear you if you're actually talking?" I told her.

She shrugged her shoulders and I bit the inside of my cheek. I bet he had half the school crushing over him, but I've never seen him with anyone. Did he even have any friends?

"Was the new student a human?" Hyungwon asked as we sat down in the cafeteria. I nodded and took out my apple juice. "She was." I replied whilst stabbing my straw into my juice box.

"Why didn't you two become friends?" He questioned.

I raised my brow at him. "Tired of me already?" I teased with a smile.

His face hardened and he clenched his jaw. "No." He said in a low tone. My brows furrowed and I leaned towards him, but he sat back in his chair so I couldn't reach him.

"Hey, I was only teasing you." I said with a pout. He always became sensitive when it came to me.

He glanced up at me then looked away.

Hyung! I know you can read my thoughts! Please, forgive me!

"Drink your juice." He suddenly said.

I quickly picked it up and placed the straw in my mouth. Whatever pleases him.

"You're coming to my house after school." He said whilst watching me drink. "I can't, I have homework and omma won't let me-"

"You can do it at mine and I'll just compel your omma." He said taking my juice and placing my straw in his mouth.

"Don't compel her! I told you to stop doing that." I told him. "It doesn't harm her, yeona." He replied.

"Ok, but can we go to your house? Your appa scares me. He looks like he wants to eat me." I whispered.

"He's not the one who wants to eat you."

I paused and locked eyes with him.

I flinched when his eyes flashed a golden yellow. My eyes flickered down to his lips when he let out small growl, revealing his fangs.

I gulped and looked back up at his eyes.

He suddenly let out a laugh. He probably watched the colour drain from my face.

"Not funny." I grumbled.

He fangs disappeared and his eyes returned to his normal colour. "Don't worry, I won't drink your blood." He said standing up. "Yet." He mumbled and smirked.

I rolled my eyes. "I will never let a vampire drink my blood." I announced.

"Speaking of that, don't vampires have mates?" I questioned and stood up too. He began walking out the cafeteria. I had no idea why but I followed him.

"Yes, we do." He replied.

"Well, have you met yours yet?!" I asked with excitement. He silently shook his head.
