~chapter twenty two~

"Its because of what he said, isn't it?" I asked backing away from him. His silence told me everything.  "You're not staying for me. You're staying because of Hyungwon." he clenched his jaw at the sound of his name in my mouth.

I scoffed and pushed past him but he caught my upper arm, holding me in place. "You're misunderstanding-"

"No. I'm so done with you, jin. I'm- I'm tired of all this." I sighed. "I wish I never saw you that day in the office. I should've kept my distance!"

He squeezed my arm and yanked me back. "What? And you think none of this would've happened anyway? You're my mate, it was bound to happen-"

"No, you're not, because I reje-"

He let go off of my arm and dipped down to my level. "Do it." he said. "Reject me."

I clenched my fist. He knew I couldn't do it.

I looked away so he was facing my cheek. "You don't have the guts to reject me, yeona." he leaned away. "You're going to have to try a lot harder than sleeping with another man to get over me."

It happened so fast I didn't even get time to react. Jin was suddenly thrown back across my room. I flinched when his body collided with my bed, breaking it.

My hands covered my mouth as I turned to see Hyungwon glaring at Jin.

"Hyu-"

Jin suddenly used his speed to grab hyungwon by the throat. "Jin let g-" before I could finish, he slammed hyung against the door. My eyes widened when he fell right through, breaking my wooden door into small bits, and dust.

"S-stop guys-"

I watched as he clenched Hyungs collar and lifted him up but just as jin was about to twist his neck, Hyung wrapped his arm around jin's neck and snapped it. A small scream left my lips and I stumbled back against the wall.

A small groan left jin's lips and I heard the crack of bones when he snapped his head back in place. I was surprised because normally that would've injured a normal vampire.

"You just don't give up do you?" jin smirked whilst adjusting his shirt. "I could say the same about you." Hyung said clenching his fists.

Jin raised his brow and walked up to him. "Its because you heard her." Hyung said touching his lips. My brows furrowed. "You heard her sweet moans for m-"

Before he could finish jin had gripped him by the throat. His eyes were blood red and the veins in his neck looked at if they were about to burst.

What was he doing!? Why was he provoking jin!?

"Im not provoking him, sweetheart. I'm just rubbing it in his dead face." hyung said with a small smirk.

Jin hands suddenly positioned to break his neck but I stopped him.

"I-if you kill him I'll-"

I quickly grabbed a broken piece of wood and held it to my stomach. It wasn't in my hand for more than two second before jin used his speed to get to me and slap it out of my hand.

"Are you insane!?" he growled.

"Are you!?" I exclaimed. "You're at each others throats for what reason!?" I yelled.

"If any of you die, do you know what I'd go through-" I said in frustration.

"What's wrong with you vampires!?" I choked out. I ran my hand through my hair and sat down on the floor. I leaned my back against the wall and pulled my knees to my chest.

"You need both of us." hyungwon said making me lookup. I wiped my tears and looked at jin who was already silently staring at me.

"You need a friend and-" he paused and looked at jin. He clenched his jaw and glanced down at me again. "Him." he finished.

"I don't need him." I lied. I needed to make myself believe I didn't need Jin.

Jin suddenly leaned down scooped me up in his arms. "You can't sleep here." he said referring to my now broken room.

"She doesn't need to go anywhere with you." hyung said stepped towards us.

"So, she should go with you?" Jin scoffed.

"I-i can just sleep in my guest room." I suggested, but they were too busy having a glaring contest.

"Yeona don't-"

My eyes widened when I saw Hyungwon's face wince in pain as he held his stomach.

I began to kick my legs to get out of Jin's grip but he just tightened his grip. "Let go." I said pushing at his chest. I looked up at him with furrowed brows.

He let out a sigh and placed me down. I quickly walked over to Hyung and held his back. "A-are you ok?" I asked placing my hand on his. His eyes were still closed and his lips parted as black blood began dripping from the side of his mouth.

"Jin help me take him to the other room!" I said holding hyung up. I looked up at him when he didn't respond.

"Please."

He kept his eyes on me whilst walking up to us and picking Hyung up. They were gone before I could even blink, so I ran into my bathroom and took my first aid box.

I was careful whilst walking over the broken wood pieces and made my way to my guest room. I saw Hyung on the bed and Jin at the back of the room with his arms crossed. Ignoring him, I placed the aid box on the bed and sat beside Hyung.

I wasn't sure what exactly was causing him this much pain but-

"His back." jin said having read my thoughts.

"There's a piece of wood stabbed into his back and it's slowly killing him." he continued as if it was nothing serious.

I looked down at Hyung and placed my hand on his stomach and slowly turned him around, so I could see his back. His shirt was already ripped so I tore it even more, exposing his wound.

My eyes widened at the sight. I couldn't bring myself to pull it out.

I flinched when I felt jin lean in close to me. "Then I'll do it." he said and grabbed the wooden piece. He held eye contact with me as he effortlessly pulled it out of Hyung's back.

I tightened my grip on Hyungs shirt when he let out a groan of pain. "Fucker." he breathed out.

"He'll be fine." jin said before leaning away.

I couldn't believe him!

I opened my aid kit and pulled out some clean buds to wipe his wound. Vampires did heal fast so I was just cleaning him up.

"You're going to have to sit up so I can wrap the bandage around you." I told him. He obeyed and slowly sat up. I held his arm to support him.

Unravelling the bandage roll, I placed the end on his chest and began wrapping it around him. When I was done, I tied a small knot. "Does it hurt a lot?" I asked him. He gave me a small smile and shook his head.

"Im fine." he said. I nodded and looked down at his lips.

I pulled my sleeve down and used it to clean his mouth. "You can sleep now." I said, standing up.

He laid back down but groaned softly when his back hit the bed. I waited for him to be comfortable before walking out the room.

"What about me?"

I looked over at jin who was leaning against the wall, staring at me.
