The Falling Game

Second Grade was a pretty fun year. She always played different games a recess. There had been a certain movie that was really popular with her classmates this year. Of course this meant some kind of game. The movie is one very easily recognizable. "Frozen"

Her friend was especially obsessed with the movie. Today she had recommended a Frozen themed game. They would pretend to be the beloved characters as little kids! Her friends favorite character was Elsa, so she decided to be her. That was fine by her. She wanted to be Anna anyway, her favorite. To her delight, her 'crush' decided to be Kristoff! Her friend dragged her 'boyfriend' into playing the game also, and he decided to play as Olaf.

Mostly they just ran around the school playground pretending to be the characters, but each of them with one different action. 'Olaf' would constantly give everyone hugs(which made her friend pretty jealous), 'Elsa' would use her magic to make ice obstacles, and 'Kristoff' would pretend to always be talking with Sven. They couldn't decided what should be 'Anna's' special thing, until her friend finally decided. She would constantly fall over!

While this wasn't the most characteristic choice, they couldn't think of anything else, so they just went with it. While Elsa and Olaf ran ahead, Kristoff and her ran after. The reason they were behind was because of the fact that she had to keep falling. Kristoff was the one who kept helping her up every time. They were all really enjoying this game. Near the end of recess the teacher watching over all of them suddenly blew her whistle and called her crush over.

She was really confused. He had been playing with them and hadn't done anything wrong! She excepted him to sit in the bench and sulk for the rest of recess, but instead he turned and ran back over. He had a big smile on his face and a piece of paper on one of his hands. When he got over to them, he explained that the teacher had seen him helping her up and gave him a note to the teacher. The note read:

"____ showed great kindness by helping ____ up after she had fallen. He deserves to the Outstanding placement on the behavior chart."

They decided to stop playing the game, so the teacher wouldn't realize that he had only helped her up for that reason. Instead they sat on the balance beam and talked for the rest of recess.

This is one of her favorite memories.
