6: Protecting What's Important

Izuku and Katsuki had changed into their costumes and they were warmer and Izuku finally got to test out the new additions which were mostly inside the metal piece that hung around his neck and his shoes. The metal mask was supposed to be scent amplifiers so it was easier to spread his own scent. At first he was weary about it, thinking that it was seemingly embarrassing that since he was an omega he could produce a sweet scent that would be so powerful that it could throw an alpha off guard. He still has no idea how to control his scent quite yet to the point where it was natural but if he focused on it, he could allow it to flow out of him although it was tiring to do when he remembers forcing it out of him when he was going against Katsuki on ground Omega. Other than that, his costume was pretty much the same. He fiddled with his hand a little, clenching and unclenching his fists when he had an uncomfortable feeling inside of it. Specifically the thumb and index fingers on his scarred hand. 

Katsuki snuck glances at the boy beside him, his eyes flickering to the gloved hand and he sneered as he clenched his own since he couldn't place them in his pockets. He also made sure to keep his nose tucked behind his winter costume from the cold air that carried peoples scents.

"How about we go to higher grounds?" The voice didn't hold the excitement and the hero seemed to look up in the sky a lot. Hawks immediately raised his wings while crouching down before taking off into the air, the feathers sweeping the floor below him as some dust lingered in the air. Izuku activated his full cowl as he placed the mask over his nose and followed after, Katsuki right next to him.

Izuku made his movements as flawless as possible as he jumped from proch, to balconies, to small window sills and trying to not break anything until he reached a roof and jumped from there. Katsuki simply used his blasts and followed after the winged hero, looking around as his hair jumbled together, though the mask kept it from going in his eyes. Neither of the three could see anything but they could definitely feel that something was wrong. Hawks were gliding and sending a few feathers in different directions to cover more ground as he glided in the air. Katsuki made his way to building and landing on top of it, going over towards the edge to look around but all he could see was building tops, green flares, and hawks feathers. Then, the winged hero expanded his wings to stop before diving down and flying the opposite direction and Katsuki was soon to follow, knowing that he had found something and his suspicions were correct when he saw one of the top floors of a business building being suddenly hit and allowing dust and smoke into the air. However, before he could launch himself closer, the feathers pinned inside his clothing and guiding him back to the floor with Izuku landing right next to him.

"PROTECT THE PEOPLE!" Katsuki grunted but didn't waste a second to follow orders and took off towards the building. Izuku was close to follow but he was a little faster and made it towards the other side of the building and covered that area. Once he landed, the screaming of people and gasps, a few standing still in one place frozen in fear.

"Mommy! Daddy!" Izuku shot his head in the direction of the voice and saw a little boy crying in the middle of the street where it was being cleared by police force and putting up barricades from around the building and trying to calm the people down. Izuku immediately went to pick up the kid who screamed in fear and tried to kick away from izuku.

"S-stranger! Let go let go let go!" Izuku panicked as the boy thrashed around before automatically letting his scent slip through, forgetting that the boy won't be able to smell it at all.

"It's ok! We'll find your parents!" Izuku exclaimed as he looked around for any more people that were stranded but it was a little hard from all the noise, sirens, screams, and the debris starting to fall onto the floor. The boy seemed to believe him, to his luck, and clutched onto him and Izuku held him with one arm as he maneuvered his way around, pushing people to get away from under the falling piece of cement.
