Izuku lay in his bed, waiting for his alarm clock to wake him up for school, but he didn't feel like getting ready today. He felt odd actually, almost sick. He knew it was his birthday today and that today was supposed to be when he was going to wake up as an Omega but he still felt... odd. All weekend his mother had been taking care of him after Friday's attack on what he realized was another nomu, but more powerful to the point where it could even speak.

When he watched the news the next day, there were articles on top of articles of Endeavour taking down the villain to the point of no recovery and... being nominated number one by the public. His hand raised up in a fist in the sky. The side of his face was torn. His suit ripped and burned. He looked awful but he held his fist high just like All Might and Izuku realized that another was finally going to step in as the new number one, but not yet the symbol of peace. That was All Might and no matter the early retirement, he will always be the symbol of peace.

Everyone was happy and joyful that a new saviour stepped in but Izuku, not so much. Endeavour is strong, powerful, and anything a hero could have but he wasn't All Might. Izuku was reminded that his retirement wasn't the only thing that came early and it had brought him to tears that day all over again, remembering his story the first time they met in person a little over a year ago, almost two. He found himself sitting at his desk and watching that same video he watched as a kid, the same one that made him smile, as well as cry. It wasn't a good weekend for him so now that it was Monday and ready for his alarm to tell him that it was time to get ready for school, he didn't know if he could do it. There was just too much to deal with.

Katsuki was another one of them. He was the first thing in his mind as soon as he woke up and he was ok with that until he remembered that he had to see him in school. It's not that he didn't want to but there's just something in him that tells him to just ignore him like he had been doing before the attack.

Let katsuki come to him instead of the other way around, how it's always been.

"I am here! I am here! I am-" Izuku muted the alarm with embarrassed, flushed cheeks. He forgot that his alarm here at his mothers was All Might themed, the one thing he left here and not brought into his all might themed dorm. It was a little embarrassing that he still owned it but he wasn't planning on getting rid of it anytime soon. It was part of his collection.

"Time for school I guess" Izuku raised from his bed and stretched his arms and legs, his legs twitching before throwing them over the bed. He arched his back before bending down for an even better stretch, letting out an exasperated breath at the end. He proceeded to crack his neck, knuckles, toes, back and shoulders and ended up laughing at himself when he thought of how he was acting like an old man.

Eventually, he got out of bed and started getting dressed, making his bed, and folding some of his clothes and putting them away before gathering all of his things in his bag and exiting his room towards the kitchen.

"Happy birthday Izuku!" his mother greeted immediately when she saw Izuku come inside the kitchen and made her way over to her son and hugging him, Izuku immediately complying, his pupils enlarging as he stuffed his face in her neck and purring, earning a giggle from his mother as she peered back, at least tried to. Izuku just held on as he rubbed his cheek onto her neck, smiling cheekily before peering back and walking over to the table.

"I made your favorite!" Inko spoke as her eyes followed Izuku to the table, then making eye contact when he sat down and she noticed the slightly blown eyes. Izuku perked up a bit and smiled up at his mother as he placed his backpack down and sat down at the table where the delicious place of sweets was and he beamed as he immediately took one of the square, chocolate powdered pastries.
