To say I was surprised would be an understatement. I had walked into mama's room to check up on her and get back to work seeing as I had left her unguarded to take an urgent phone call in my office.

I didn't expect to walk in and see Daleia sitting pin straight next to mama, eyes open holding her hand staring into space. At first I thought maybe she was deep in thought. I don't think Daleia ever realized it but when she got lost in thought she almost always looked like a beautiful statue. Especially with that hair.

I walk over. Thinking my presence will break her out of her reverie but much to my surprise she remains as still as ever.

"There you are I've been looking all ove-... Malcolm what's wrong" sienna walks in looking angry. I already know why. I had made a promise to always stick by mama while she was away... And when she comes back, I'm nowhere to be found. Just my luck.

"I think Daleia is using her powers or something... You know.... To try and wake mama up?" I supply trying to convince myself.

I move closer to Daleia... The bond between us had seen better days and our proximity right now showed just how much we needed to work on it. When I touch her she goes limp in my arms and I start panicking. keeping my voice level " I need someone to get a bed for Daleia right next to mama okay, and call elder cleric , he needs to explain this quickly before we all start to lose our heads .

As sienna leaves to call the weird old man from the pack he resided in, I try to get Daleia to let go of mama's hand but, she seems to be stuck, and when I pull harder a frown contorts on both their faces.

Still connected to mama Daleia body starts convulsing thrashing around in my arms and twisting around in weird positions, it didn't take a genius to see that trying to separate them was a bad idea

"The elder says not to try and separate them ..." sienna says frantically rushing in with Karrie

When they both see my panicked state they freeze staring at Daleia thrashing in my arms before rushing over and settling her on the couch that was next to mamas bed hands still locked together. I run both hands over my face as I step away doctors rushing in to try and get Daleia stable. I'm frozen as I watch them roll in another bed to mama's room. Identical to the one she was sleeping on and depositing Daleia onto it

"Let's let them work while I explain what the elder said outside... Malcolm comes on"

Due to my state sienna easily drags me out of the room breaking my line of sight from Daleia. As the door shuts she starts speaking

"Listen to me, Daleia is having a seizure, the elder said is because mama and Daleia are connected telepathically, and you separate them forcefully... Daleia has another seizure they both die. someone cast a spell on what mama ingested , it was never meant to kill her Malcolm, just trap her in her own mind... because of the fact that Daleia is a seer she was able to connect with her , he will explain more when he gets here tomorrow but for now I need you to wait until we figure out what we can and cannot do, he also said something about the fact that they need to get out of wherever they were trapped because mama and Daleia can't handle being in that telepathic trap for a long time, mama was fine but if Dee doesn't get out of there soon they both die."

I was in a daze after that, I mean that wouldn't be when you hear something like that. I was angry now, furious even, we had gotten nowhere when it came to figuring out who the person who poisoned mama was, now spells were involved and more and more magic seemed to follow us around, witches hadn't had a problem with the werewolf kingdom for a long time, so what had changed I knew this had to do with that damned prophesy, the one that had conveniently disappeared when I was searching for it, nothing was going the way it should have going, Daleia...
