My younger sister and Mother were helping me get ready for the big day. My mom hired a makeup and hair person, Stacey. She had just gotten done flat ironing my naturally curly hair, and did some natural makeup. My mom helped me slip into my dress, and zip it. They left the room to go check on the bridesmaids.
I, Chloe-Grace Rose Monney, soon to be getting married to the love of my life, James Harold Goon. We met in college of our freshman year. Now six years later, we were finally ready to start our life together. He had wanted to get married right away, but it was me who wanted to wait. Wait for us to get our degrees. Wait for us to become more maturer.
I sat in the dressing room of the church, waiting for my mom and sister to come back. All of a sudden, I heard a knock on the door. Thinking it was one of my family members/friends, I opened the door. I was wrong.
"Chloe-Grace, you look so beautiful." That deep voice of his brought back so many memories. "What are you doing here Todd?" "I came to say goodbye" "What do you mean?" "You're getting married, and I want my heart back, I never really got it back after we broke up in high school." Awe.
"Todd, that was six years ago." "I know, but I fell in love last year and thought I got over you. Then I saw your engagement announcement in the newspaper. " "Well Todd, I loved you a long time ago. But I think for the better, you should move on too." "Goodbye forever my high-school sweetheart, Chloe-Grace" With that he walked out of the room.
I got married in my hometown church I grew up in. Then never saw Todd again.
