Chapter Two

I smiled as the music started playing.

The ball had officially started. I am now in the middle of the crowd, dancing with a gentleman I do not know. Yet my eyes are fixed with the same golden eyes who caught my attention from the first moment our eyes met.

He was dancing with princess Lien but his eyes was fixed with mine as well. I smiled as the instrumental of wildest dreams played. It was now time to change partners. And my oh my, my luck was good.

I landed inside his arms. We bowed for curtsy as the song played. His eyes pierced through mine as if he was looking at my naked soul. His smell was overwhelming. The scent that I want to taste forever.

"Why is the milady of the vampires staring at the king of the west.. hmm..?" he whispered in my ear darkly.

That sent me shivers up to my spine.

His voice was dark yet gentle. The kind that I never experienced. Ever.

I was surprised when he pulled my waist and held my other hand as we glided. Our bodies touched, his face inches closer to mine. This man.. he couldn't be just a creation, he looked dashingly handsome.

"Milady you seem to be smitten by me, you are not answering my question." he added.

I bit my lowerlip as I stopped my fangs from growing.

"I am so sorry, it is just that, the king of the west is dashingly handsome. I cannot take my eyes off you." I said innocently.

Yet he smirked.

We glided and waltzed in the middle of the ballroom. His cocky gaze never left mine. But then I almost froze when he caressed my waist. I held his shoulder tighter. He then touched my bare back, caressing it softly to the back of my neck.

"Am I the one who's dashing? I believe you are wrong milady. You are the one who's beautiful and an eye catcher. The amount of men staring at you right now is impeccable."

Not gonna lie, that is true. Men flocks me. They want the taste of this vampire princess and yet, only those whom I need will taste me.

I then held his neck.

And those whom I want.

"But they're not what I want." I continued to seduce him innocently.

I want you, his highness.

He bit his lowerlip as the song ended. He then whispered to my ear once more.

"I will see you on the palace's garden maze, milady." with that, he disappeared in the crowd of dancing people.

Everything was so fast that I haven't recovered when a new song played.

"It seems like the newly crowned king of the west caught your attention huh?" asked the second deadly king, Lust.

I smiled and nodded as he waltzed with me.

"I do not smell such bad lust in his system, therefore you are okay with him." he stated.

I then blushed,

"He might just be one of my one night stands." I whispered, Lust then scoffed.

"You want him differently Phoebe, do not try to deny your arousal to me. I am the king of Lust. Therefore I know." he added.

I bit my lowerlip as he then kissed my forehead.

"We want you out of here Phoebe, I will never let him to things to you, to us again." he said darkly. I nodded.

All of my brothers wants to protect me,

Yet what's left to protect when I'm already broken?

"It's okay kuya.. I can manage." I said softly. He then melted.

I smiled as he hugged me.

"You are our princess. We want you safe." he whispered before letting me go.

I smiled as I moved away from the dance floor. My heart clenched.

I am no longer safe knowing I am me. The Abyss of mine is my home. The darkness is a friend that I am used of. He wants to protect the broken. All of them. Yet they do not know that protecting what's broken will only shatter you.

I glided towards the green maze. The garden maze of the palace.

'Another victim?' asked my shadow.

I shook my head.

'This one's different. I want him.' I answered.

She then disappeared. I smirked as I felt his scent nearby. I then motioned my hand as I  chanted a spell for people outside the maze. They couldn't see us behind those big windows. I turned around and met his golden eyes pierced into my violet ones.

"Princess Lien might be looking for you.." I said softly,

But deep inside I want him in my skin. I want him.

He then looked at me and smirked.

"Lien would not know about our little affair." he said then held my neck, softly choking me.

"If you will not tell." he added as he stared at my lips that were now swollen because of my bite.

The electricity of his touch was too much to bear. I need him more.

I held both of his side and squeezed it as he looked down on me, my eyes were pleading
him to kiss me.

"I will not tell." I whispered.

He then licked his lips before connecting to mine.

Finally.

My hands roamed around his waist to his broad shoulders and chest. He then touched my behind as his tongue went inside my mouth. He tastes like mint. The most delicious flavor ever.

I bit my lowerlip as he kissed my neck, leaving marks. I moaned as he licked my neck.

Just when the chemistry was burning he stopped.

Which made me furious.

"Why did you stop?" I asked. Pissed.

He smirked.

"I do not bed other women other that my own. But it was nice to have a taste of your lips milady. You're intoxicating."

With that he disappeared.

How dare he?!

My fangs are out as my eyes turned dark violet. Bloodlust.

It was now evident. I need to feed before I go back to the ballroom.

"YIPPIE!" I yelled and there appeared yippie,

"Yes your highness?" she asked.

I looked at her darkly.

"Ready a gentleman inside my room, I need to feed."
