Chapter Twelve

In the field of dandelions, I finally said yes.

He was hugging me from behind as I was eating croissants. It was almost sundown. We can see it all from here. The breeze was getting cold. I loved it. His face was buried on my neck. Today was a magical day.

We watched the sun go down. Quietly yet lovingly. I love the warmth that he gives. His love, it was true. I can feel it. I smiled when the fireflies flied across the field and a certain song played in my head.

He had done so much for me. I should return the favor for a bit.

"Would you like to dance?" I asked him.

He froze for a second, yet later on smiled.

"What may be our music, your majesty?" he asked.

I got up and motioned him to get up too.

He held my waist while I put my hand on his shoulder. I then casted a spell to make the fireflies sound like instruments as it was surrounding us. The magic will never end between us.

I looked straight into his eyes full of wonder as I started singing.

"Maybe it's the way you say my name,
Maybe it's the way you play a game."

Everything about him makes me love him. Love was a deep word that I never thought I will be experienced.

"But it's all good, I've never known anybody like you.
But it's all good, I've never dreamed of nobody like you."

Because I didn't. I never expected that someone will love me like you do. That someone will see me like you do. Your eyes are full of adoration that not even my brothers give me.

"I've heard of a love that comes once is a lifetime,
And I'm pretty sure that you are that love of mine."

I sang which made him bite is lower lip. His lips blushed red as his nose and ears were beat red as well. Who knew that a king can also be cute?

"Cause I'm in a field of dandelions,
Wishing on everyone that you'd be mine."

"But I'm already yours." he reasoned. I smiled and continued the song.

"I see forever in your eyes,
I feel okay when I see you smile.."

I continued singing. He then closed the distance of our foreheads together.

"And I to you my beloved."

"I think that you are the one for me,
Coz it gets hard to breath."

"You are the one who's breathtaking, my beloved. You took my breath away when we first met."

"When you're looking at me,
I never felt so alive and free.
When you're looking at me,
I never felt so happy."

He gave me the happiness that I thought I would never feel. He gave me the peace of mind I didn't think I deserve. He gave me everything that I craved for.

"Wishing on dandelions all of the time, praying to God that someday you'd be mine."

I sang.
