Here it is! The "finale" to the Emrani Family Imagines. I put finale in speech marks cuz I might make another book that solely contains stories about Aryia, the reader and Levi (plus other OCs if you guys want them to have more kids in that book). I hope you guys enjoy today's imagine! 😊

Summary: Aryia is away recording new music with Nick in Massachusetts and has promised Levi he would be there for his 4th birthday but it's nearly midnight and there's still no sign of him

Warnings: Aryia almost breaks a promise, sad!Levi

Levi folded his arms at the table and laid his head down. He sighed for the millionth time, staring at the clock that was hung on the wall above the KRAC House kitchen door. He had recently asked you to teach him how to tell the time using an analog clock. He still couldn't get it right sometimes but he was good enough at reading the clock face to know that it was later than 11:30pm; just a little longer and it would be midnight. Levi was already wearing pyjamas, his dark hair a little messy from staying up so late.

You approached him quietly, smiling at your son. "Come on." You whispered, stroking his head. "Time to go."

"Just five more minutes." He yawned, looking at you pleadingly.

"It's already way past your bedtime. You need to sleep." You told him gently.

Levi didn't reply, instead, he moved his gaze back to the clock. You put your hands on your hips. Levi sure was stubborn, a trait that he had inherited from both you and his dad.

"He's not gonna make it in time."

"But he promised. And Papi never breaks his promises." Levi answered, keeping his gaze on the clock.

You shook your head and knelt down next to your son, gently grabbing his shoulders and turning him around so that you could look straight into his eyes.

"I already told you, didn't I? Daddy's busy making music in Massachusetts with uncle Nick so... I... I know he promised you he'd be here for your birthday, but it's almost midnight and he won't make it in time."

You took his little hands and squeezed them.

"Remember when uncle Nick said they were gonna be recording longer than they expected? And when Daddy said his flight was delayed? It's gonna take him at least another hour to come home."

Levi listened to you in silence; he was so tired and his eyes had lost their usual brightness, yet he was trying his hardest to stay awake.

Your heart ached. Seeing your baby boy so sad hurt you, but besides pain there was another feeling that grew rapidly in your chest.

It was anger.

Pure anger.

Why did Aryia make such a promise?

What had gotten into him?

Did he forget how unpredictable flight changes could be?

You would think of a way to get back at him for this later, right now your priority was taking care of your son.

"Come on Levi. Let's go to bed..." You whispered softly, caressing his cheek with your thumb

He glanced at the clock one last time - 11:35pm. He was starting to feel dizzy; he had never been up so late and his body was starting to feel the consequences of sleep deprivation. Levi looked up at you with tired eyes before slowly nodding in agreement.

You stretched out your arms to pick him up as he put his arms around your neck, hiding his face in your shoulder. You both left the room and went downstairs.
