Part 21

(May 5th, Almost 2 weeks later) Chaeyoung's Pov

*Reminder, Minyoung speaks well, but still speaks like an average 1 year old. I didn't want to use "Baby Language" as it will be hard for others to read. You can just imagine how a 1 year old who's good at speaking sounds!*

I checked Minyoung's backpack to make sure she had everything. It's a 13 hour flight, I actually don't know how to keep a child entertained that long. I asked my Eomma what I should do, and she advised me to just pack snacks and any electronic. It worked with me apparently, but I was 10, Not 1. 

"Mina what snacks do you think we should pack?" I asked. Mina is just as busy right now. She's dealing with Minyoung, who's crying over a plushy.

"Pack strawberries and baby puffs. Those are her favorite snacks." Mina said trying to calm Minyoung.

"Aish, Minyoung you can have your plushy when we get on the plane, but you need to be good and stop crying okay? Mommy isn't trying to be mean so calm down." Mina reassured Minyoung.

Minyoung is such a Mommy's girl. She quickly calmed down, if it were me she would've cried even more just because. I grabbed her backpack and grabbed her jacket.

"Okay, let's go now. Minyoung if you behave well i'll give you ₩50000" I told her as we walked out the door.

"Chae- That's about $44! You can't give a 1 year old that much money!" Mina was about to scold me.

"Actually she's 3 in Korean age, and it's not that much money! I could give her ₩700000, but it's not her birthday yet." I joked around as we got into the car. Mina knows i'm joking, what would a 1 year old spend that much money on?

We made it to our flight, we have first class seats. Usually only two people can sit in one area, but because Minyoung is only 1 she doesn't have to sit in a seat. It's been 30 minutes since our flight departed. Minyoung is sitting on Mina's lap, she's playing on her iPad. Mina bought her some kind of game, it's called Toca something? I don't know what the point is but she's loving it.

I decided to take a nap while I can, the jet lag will be horrible when we get to the US.

Mina's Pov

I looked over and Chae was already asleep. Minyoung is so focused on this game I bought her. I don't really understand it but she's really into it. I guess anything can fascinate kids these days.

It's 9pm right now, we already ate dinner. Minyoung should be sleep in the next 5-10 Minutes. She keeps up with her sleep schedule which makes me a little nervous about the time change. Nayeon unnie said it's best if we fly at night and just keep her up through the night. 

She said when it's "Morning" she will be tired and will actually go asleep at night. It will be about 5pm when we get there, so we'll have to keep her up a few more hours. Shouldn't be hard if we bribe her with ice cream right?

"Minyoung let's stay up really late and play games. You can eat a lot of snacks, watch movies, play games, and if you do really well, we can have ice cream too!" I said convincing Minyoung to stay awake.
