*Isabella's POV*
I just came out of the shower and was now standing in front of my closet trying to find something to wear.
I decided I was definitely going to go casual since Miles said it wasn't anything too fancy.
The doorbell rang.
I rolled my eyes then went downstairs and opened the door.
"Hi Issy."
It was Tessa. She had a smile on her face but not 'that smile'.
"Hi. I'm actually busy right now."
"To go on your date with Miles?"
"How did you-"
"It's a double date. I figured you'd need help deciding on what to wear so I came." she said cutting me off.
She knew me so well but I had already decided on what I was going to wear. I let her in anyway.
"You look beautiful." she said while brushing my hair and looking at me in the mirror.
"You don't look too bad yourself."
She had on a simple jeans and sweater like me.
"You sure you want to do this?" she asked.
"Do what?"
"Go on a date with Miles. He's only using you."
"Oh my gosh Tessa! Why can't you just be happy for me for once!?"
"I'm only trying to protect you Isabella."
"I don't need protecting Tessa. I rather try and fail than not try at all. Let me learn from my own mistakes."
I looked out my window and saw Miles' car rolling in.
"Miles is here. I have to go." I said then walked out.
When I opened the door, Miles was standing on the other side with his eyes closed.
"You can do this Miles" he whispered to himself.
I tried my best to stay silent.
When he finally opened his eyes they widened.
"Isa-Isabella how long have you been standing there?"
I chuckled.
"Long enough to hear your uplifting pep talk."
He bit his lips and closed his eyes, looking like he was restraining himself from slapping himself. He pulled out a bouquet of flowers from behind him and gave them to me.
"I didn't know if you liked roses or lilies so I got you both." he said.
They were beautiful. I didn't really have a preference in flowers, it was the thought that counted. Before I could reply, Tessa interfered.
"They look ugly." she said then walked out to her car.
From that, neither Miles nor I said anything until we reached to what looked like a park.
When we reached, Tessa had already arrived and was talking to Troy.
"Let's go." Miles said to all of us.
"What are we doing at a park?" I asked.
Miles and Troy both looked at each other and smiled.
"You'll see when we get there." Troy said.
It was a rather large park and we had been walking for a while.
"Right between these bushes." Miles said pointing to the bushes.
