Rotten Roses

Chapter 5

"Hi Rosaria." he greeted.

Rose awkwardly greeted back "Hi....?"

Rose analysed the way he dressed and understood what he was up to. His usual curly bangs were now styled backwards with some hair gel. His attire used to be oversized hoodies and loose trousers. But now, it seems he seems put a lot more effort on his dressing- black shirt that's kinda transparent, a brown leather jacket, black tight jeans with chains hanging around. And not to mention, he has peircings on his ears now.

He looks like he has done his homework to impress me.

"Oh my name is Victor, uh also I wanted to ask if you are interested to go on uh a date with me." He blurted. Moya choked on her spicy soup as she tried not to laugh. Meanwhile Rose sighed.

Yeah, I thought so.

"I'm sorry, no." Rose said the next second and placed her Airpod to listen to the podcast. From behind, Victor tried to talk again but Rose ignored it. Moya sent him and 'It's-not-gonna-work' look  and continued sipping her soup.

Victor sighed and backed off, but yet wasn't ready to give up on Rose.

"Poor Victor. He looked so disappointed after you rejected him. But why don't you just give a break to your single life and try dating?" Moya stated as the duo walked towards their next class.

Rose looked at Moya with doubtful "You're the one who gave him advice to dress up like that, right?"

Moya smiled cheepishly and said "Well, I did that because he begged me to advise him. Plus he seems like a nice person Plus he's cute soo...." 

Rose shook her head with disapprovement and stated "You better walk fast or else you'll miss your next class."

Moya then grabbed Rose's hand and asked "let's bunk it!"
Rose shook her head and explained "Nope, I'll have to miss my classes once my internship at Abyss starts, so I have to keep my attendance list on point."

Moya sulked as they walked towards their next class.  "Alright, but keep your schedule empty after 6. We need a girl's night out."

Rose thought for minute and nodded "Alright, but no wild after parties. It was a mess last time."

Moya chirped as she clapped her hands together and stated "Noted!"

Then duo then proceeded with their classes.

It was around 5pm when Rose finally got out of her college campus and waited for Moya's arrival at the bus station. Few minutes later, her cheerful friend arrived and they decided to get a makeover before the night out.

"I think it's time that I get a makeover." Rose thought. Moya then nodded.

"Yup,  you look like a dreadful hermit who's never been out of the shell." Rose just punched her friend on her shoulder after that remark and the duo made their way to the salon.

"Hey! We need to do some shopping too." Moya said, but Rose shrugged.

"I have plenty of clothes."

"But I don't. Plus, you ain't gonna wear that for tonight's party." Moya remarked.

I glanced at the outfit I'm wearing. A turtle neck sweater and a pair of skinny jeans. It's not that bad. But I guess that isn't suitable for the party where it's gonna be sweaty and stinky.

"Alright then. Let's go." I accepted.

We made our way to the bus station and waited for the central city bus to arrive. About 3 minutes later, the bus arrived and we walked straight towards the last seats.

It would take about 15 minutes to reach there. So I guess I'll listen to some music. I thought and took out my phone. Meanwhile, Moya was busy typing on her phone.

Alrighty. Which song should I listen to? I need a perfect song to set my mood right. I thought as I scrolled through the numerous options of songs, just to find the right one.

In no time, we reached our destination and we got off from the bus.

"So, where are going exactly?" I questioned Moya. She scrolled through her phone and stated.

"Well it's supposed to be somewhere over here. That's what the map says."

Well then turn our head all around to find the place.

"Oh! There it is! Let's go!" Moya yelled as she grabbed my hand.

I looked at the building and turned blue. "Moya, I'm a bit broke to afford a five-star rating spa."

Moya then stated "It's okay, a mutual friend of mine works here. She said we can get it for cheap since there are students who are learning in there."

I left a sigh of relief and made our way inside.
